Its similar to the Lomax in that its a Morgan lookalike, other that they're completely different as far as im aware.
What drew me toward the JZR whilst looking was the fact that they're more of a 'drivers' car in my opinion. For a start its RWD, which can be a little interesting to say the least when making progress down narrow lanes, as all the grit, mud, cow pat seems to rut up in the middle.... things can get a little twitchy!
The front suspension setup also drew me towards the JZR, the 2CV suspension (which I adore on my own 2CV) just doesnt quite cut it for a sports trike. I test drove a few and they felt a little 'wibbley', fantastic for some people im sure but i was after a bit more feedback!
As far as the engine is concerned, its a CX500. As with many small vehicles, power to weight is the key. When im riding solo its pretty nippy, add a passenger and its more like swift.
Other engine options include:
Moto Guzzi, Honda CX500, CX500 TURBO, CX650, Triumph, Harley,
Its not the most practical thing in the world, not by a long shot. On the right road however, I struggle to think of anything else i would rather be in... Id take it over many exotic machines if all i wanted to do was Grin like a Cheshire cat!
I smiles per £, maybe it should be a new thread!

I bet that flies!Is it a Lomax?
IIRC you can also get a Guzzi conversion for the 2CV Transaxle?
@ Vidal baboon- yes, you can fit the guzzi engine onto a 2cv gearbox for a lomax. This requires an adaptor plate to be machined though and as yet havn't seen anyone producing them for sale. The only potential problem with this is that the gearbox was made for a 30BHP engine so you have to fit skinny cross ply tyres on so they spin instead of shredding the gearbox. The other option that you can do is fit BMW bike boxer engine and gearbox (i have only seen one or two like this). I have also seen one where a citroen GS 4 cylinder boxer was fitted but it looked very odd.
I dont have a photo of the engine in my lomax but its a very standard 602cc 2cv engine without fan or duct with alu rocker covers...
