How come whenever some one wants to make their car individual and stand out, they do the same stuff to it that everybody else does?

And fully comp insurance, at 18 with 3 points for £450? What's the story there?
Exactly... I smell something fishy here. Either :

A) Fronting
B) Lying
C) Trolling

Meh...still it can't be just £450 on his car unless there's some dodgy maths involved. To put my wife who got her license for 2 years on my multicar policy still cost me a significant amount.

With four cars, he might be right. But I very much doubt that all the mods are declared.

Insuring my 3rd car on a multicar policy was so cheap it was almost silly not to, but declaring the mods really bumped up the price.

I know insurance had all the mods included when we phoned up they asked and we told them every mod it had smile

Was in the exact same boat! Bought the dreaded chavtastic corsa for £2k, went through 2 different sets of wheels, massive sub in the back, induction kit, lowered 45mm etc. Must have easily spent nearly £2k on the piece of st, only to sell it 2 years later for £500. I think mostly all of us in here have been through that stage. But you soon learn that, no matter how much you spend on it, itl always be a corsa!

My advice, do what you want to your car! Aslong as your declaring mods and driving safe!

Get yourself a haynes manual and learn how to maintain it. Itl save you money at the end of the day.

Maybe look into joining corsa d forum or whatever, as im sure theyl have how to sections and for sale sections that will come in handy.

Goodluck

Jesus, give the lad a break. When I was his age I was into this sort of thing too, he's shown you his pride and joy and you've all slated him.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother looking round these forums with dheads like you lot about.
Way out of line, the OP has not had a hard time here. If anything all it's been is light hearted banter. He's posted his car and asked for criticism. He got it.
The way I read it, most of us have been there and done it.
Would I commend someone for doing it too? No.

If you're with Admiral don't buy coilovers. They're actually refusing point blank to cover cars fitted with them now. I know someone who tried to insure his show car and as soon as they were mentioned they told him they can't cover the car.

I just kept it stock and enjoyed it for what it was.

Left my Punto standard. No point in doing anything to it. It just broke all the time. hehe

The only thing i've added to my Focus is an aux port for i-pod connectivity.

The Only thing I did to my Mini was to fit an unleaded haad and stage one kit with RC40 exhuast and its still like that today!

OP I'm not sure your car is to my taste but fair play to you for posting it here at not running away after the slatting some have given it

I kept my Mazda 323 as standard except for changing the standard tape player to a cd player then spend a bit of money making my second car track worthy (Scooby)

OP I'm not a fan of the sticker or the wheels or the all black look. Try not to spend much on it.

If you like it then that is all you should worry about.

The coil overs i bought for the car have arrive, annoyingly one of the front shocks are broken so have sent an email to the company about it.
(had another picture of the whole set but was too big to post up on here)

What make are the coilovers? How did they break? Not sure I'd be fitting them to my car of they can't survive manufacturing or transport.

they are JOM Coilovers not actually sure if the the prong parts are needed of if they are just there for fitting the piping and cabels but if u look at the bottom of the coil overs a part is bent at like 30 degrees. i dont see how it was damaged in the transport of it so must of been carelessness at the work shop or something frown
