Honda NSX-R 1996
Discussion
This is a NA2 Type R, the later model 2002 to 2005, price is not shown but they are significantly more expensive in Japan than the NA1 Type Rs like my car. They are the Holy Grail of NSX. They have the 3.2 litre engine and a 6 speed gearbox plus many other mechanical and styling improvements compared to the early 3.0 litre 5 speed cars.
There were only 140 NA2 Type Rs compared to the 483 NA1 Type Rs, so both are very rare cars and Japan only. But remember UK NSX are very rare as well, with less than 500 between 1990 and 2005, and most were early NA1 cars.
If you are after a standard UK NSX the NA2 3.2 manual car is the one that should be top of your list, but the NA1 cars are also outstanding cars. There is a blue NA2 manual pre facelift car with low mileage at Silverstone Auctions this weekend and it will be interesting to see what price it makes.

Just about the time I was picking up the NA1 Type R, featured in this thread, a NA2 R became available, in Japan of course, and with Plans Performance help I have decided to purchase this car, so this means this NA1 R will have to go to a new home, also with the assistance of Graham at Plans.
I can assure you if it was not being replaced in the garage by a NA2 R I would not be selling the car ever. So if you have always dreamed on owning a NA1 NSX-R here is your chance to buy one ready to drive in the UK in the classic white/black, but be quick I doubt it will be available very long. Please direct any enquiries to Graham at Plans.
The NA2 R is due to arrive in the UK early April and I will post photos when I have the car. It is a 2004 White/black car with under 30k miles.

Blimey! How many miles did you put on the NA1? (And fair play on doing this when the £:Yen rate has gone from "OKish" to "OMIGOD".)
Out of interest, this went for almost £70,000 yesterday...

Actually very close to £71k with the buyers premium and Vat on the premium.

I was looking at these out of interest this morning. I've always been a Honda fan, and have always wanted an NSX.
Having checked the classifieds, it would seem that price inflation is rather out-stripping my savings inflation and that dream is getting further away!
How are they STILL just such good looking cars???

What was once sneered-at by the UK hacks as being 'derivative' has become timelessly classic.Having checked the classifieds, it would seem that price inflation is rather out-stripping my savings inflation and that dream is getting further away!

They still don't drive too shabbily, either.
I have to admit I was never a fan of these back in the day, but they seem to have aged well. But now I like them I will never afford one, barring a lottery win!
Remember a motor trader mate had Cat D one in Midnight Pearl 10 or more years ago. He did quite a few track days with it and it never gave him any problems, but he sold it before prices started to rocket - still kicking himself!
By the way that orange one in the photo looks fantastic - that must be a rare colour.
Keep enjoying your collection OP!
