Hi All,
I've gotten a few suggestions that I should start a thread on my garage.
I've been collecting sports, super, and hyper cars for almost 20 years now.
For a few years I did one of the Fast Fleet columns in EVO. I've continued these on our own site now.
Current garage includes: McLaren 720S Spider, 675LT Spider, 650S Spider, Senna, Ferrari F40, Maserati GranCabrio, & a Porsche 911 (997.2) GT3 RS
I've got a SCG 004S on order and a McLaren 765LT Spider will probably follow that.
A few others of potential interest that used to inhabit the garage include a Ferrari F50, 430 Scuderia, 599 GTB HGTE, 16M, 365GTB/4 Daytona, 308 GTB, 360 Modena, & a 365BB Porsche 911 (993) Turbo, 911 (993) C4, Koenigsegg CCR, Jaguar XJR-15, a Mosler MT900S, & a Maserati GranSport
Happy to answer any questions on the cars.
Lovely list,

May I ask, assuming money is not factor, why part with the F50? The F40 and F50 complement eachother

I believe that it was to do with the move to the States and the hassle/benefit of having the vehicle converted for US road use.

Ah I see, I hope I wasn’t coming across nosey or anything.

I was wondering if it was to do with disliking the car for a particular reason however I just seen a few posts down from
his original post that the F50 was his favourite to drive.

The F355 and F50 are my childhood poster cars, OP, have you never fancied owning the 355?

I do have a massive soft spot for the senna, just strikes me insane to look at

It's in his blog. The OP is quite transparent and very much the enthusiast; he writes well and is engaging.

It was completely due to the move to the US. To be eligible for US import the F50 would have needed to be 25 year old. It was only 17 so we would have had to leave it in storage for 8 years. This would have been horrible for the car. Converting to US spec was also not an option as only 1995 F50s are eligible to be converted. Our's was a 1997. It's also a horrible thing to do to the car.

The Ferrari F40 is just back from a seven month engine rebuild. More details on that shortly. It's finally running perfectly again.

A varied selection of fine cars.
You said that Lambos don't do it for you.
What about Pagani?
Having had various McLarens and Ferrsris and the CCR, has the Zonda /Huarya not had a look in?

I would love to own a Zonda but prices have gone completely through the roof. Missed that boat back in 2008. Never been that excited about the Huarya though.

I am further down the ladder in owning one.
The Zonda just looks so fresh and beguilling.
The Huarya, whilst it may be a fantastic car just doesn't have the same sense of appeal.

Plenty more interesting vehicles out there....

Agree on the Zonda, have always liked the design and it really broke new ground.

Huarya never really had much appeal.

Issue on Zonda values these days is for the price of a Zonda, you can have a Carrera GT, F40, Senna, and a P1.

Also add in no ABS, and no traction control.

It likes to slide around a bit.

It would certainly make a good snowplough. Do I spy a front lift? Where's the fun in that! hehe

I've not had the good fortune to sit in an F40 but those seats have to be some of the coolest ever fitted to a road car.

Our F40 does have the adjustable suspension. It works well and have saved the front splitter more times than I can remember.

Seats are great and really comfortable even on long distances.

I read on here I think someone said the F40 isn’t actually to bad on a longer journey. The F50 on the other hand is hardwork. Is that true?

Does the cabin get toasty on a cold day such as pictured above?
