Hi mate, good post. I'm considering a few of the cars you've had, would you mind giving some feedback? In comparison to the mr2 turbo if possible, as that's what I'd be moving on from.

The cars i'm considering, as I want a couple of extra seats, are the Accord Type R, Celica T Sport (was yours the 190 as that's the one i'd go for) and the Clio 172 (prefer the PH1 front).

I guess i'm worried about how fun these cars will be compared to my mr2 turbo, not just for speed/accel but also how good on a B road blast. Also how comfortable/noisy they are, for short and long drives. Reliability etc.

I am considering a few other cars too, Focus ST170, Ignis Sport, Prelude, but it would be good to get some first person feedback on the above.

smile

Loving the 106 D, I have a 205 straight D. When I picked it up I thought that there was a problem with it because it was going so slow!

Yes no problem

Out of your list I would say the Accord Type R was the most fun for me but watch out for the 5th gear problem

The Celica was a 190 and was good but not quite as good as my old Civic Type R ( EP3 )

Clio was fun and cheep to run and fix and a very good drivers car TBH

TBH speed wise they are not in the same ball park of the MR2 Turbo but if anything they did handle better and were more safe to push harder .

All were good cars but coming from a turbo Mr2 to a hi revving N/A car with little torque would be something that I would think about .

Thanks for the info! I do like the Accord's, but as you say the lack of torque could be a problem. Will do more digging.
