Finally had it delivered on Monday after ordering it in late June 2010! The car is a Octy vRS CR DSG and has already proved a success! Really nice interior, more relaxed ride than the FR and a great motorway tool for moving cars out of the outside lane biggrin

I have a couple of changes planned including the fitting of the OEM sports suspension kit (basically Eibach Pro Kit springs in a Skoda box!)and a subtle rear window tint too. I've already had the grill colour coded by a great local spray shop in Redditch. I'm not a fan of chrome so the chrome grill had to go! I also think the colour coded grill suits the vRS better. I've also ordered a Nilfisk C120 and a snow foam lance for some easier cleaning.

A few pics of the old and new, and the colour coded grill :-

I love that grill, it really suits the car. From now on I will recommending it to my customers (Skoda salesman here) as a possible modification. Very smart fella

I was never very keen on the facelifted Octavia, but looking at yours, it was just the chrome grill that did it no favours.

Amazing how it transforms the whole look of the car!

Not usually a fan of this sort of mod, but in this instance it works really well. Good work. Nice car, too!

That makes a world of difference to the lookof the car, from 'gormless' to rather mean.

I should think your well chuffed with that smile

Agreed, transforms the front of the car. A big hunk of chrome up front is far to 'VAG' for me.

Not sure yet. Hoping to have a chat to a few tuners at Autosport this week to see if the DSG CR offers any issues as it's not a cheap fix if it goes wrong!

I can't believe that the factory didn't do that as standard, such a subtle and simple modification but it just makes the car right much more up market!

Noticed you used a paint shop in Redditch, are you from around there yourself? I'll keep an eye out for the car, normally slow right down seeing one of these as the Un-marked BIB use them in our area! Lovely car though!

Good call. I know he gets high praise on Seat Cupra.Net

Painted grill definately looks much better.

Couple of things that I think could look nice;
Black vinyl to the B Piller and (if possible) swap the chrome surround in the headlights to black, like the Seat's lights.

Out of curiousity, why did you have to wait nearly 8 months for it? No doubting its a nice car, but I would have thought the waiting list would have been minimal...

It is odd - most companies do de-chrome their performance models, so it makes sense really.

Been messing with Photoshop, Heres a quick basic idea of what Rochester TVR's ideas would look like. Does look good.
