Lovely car, OP.
I have nothing but good memories of my old F31. Mine was just a 320d SE, and a company motor, but it's one of the very few I've had that I really missed when it went back. Just quietly did everything really well. Sharp enough to enjoy a good bit of road, lively enough that it never felt underpowered, comfortable enough to do hundreds of miles in at a time with ease, rarely returned less than 50 mpg over a tank of fuel, and was a surprisingly handy load carrier, as you've found with the kitchen extraction. The best automatic gearbox I've ever experienced as well. Yours being the 325d, it will have a handy chunk of extra poke over my old one.
Mine was 100% reliable in the 2 years I had it, and the 40,000 miles I did in it. Servicing and tyres only. Nothing squeaked or rattled, and it still cleaned up like a new car inside and out.
They are brilliant all-rounders, and as a bonus, I think they're better looking than anything BMW makes today as well. I'd have another tomorrow.
Yours looks fantastic in that colour with those wheels.

TBH I'm really enjoying the car; it's a great drive all round and comes in very handy for situations like this
We've only done about 5k miles in it now since buying it Dec 2022/collecting it Jan 2023 - but they've been uneventful, which is a good thing
And agree; the wheels look so much better in their new colour; the car sits on them superbly and their detail really stands out now :thumbup;

Your wheels look grand in that colour Dan .
It's sitting well too, bigger spacers might have made it look a bit Max Powee (or the modern equivalent).
Cheers Sam - I'm glad I went with ferric grey; it suits the style of the wheels really wellIt's sitting well too, bigger spacers might have made it look a bit Max Powee (or the modern equivalent).
TBH 5mm spacers are perfect; 10-12mm would just be too much; the cars not low enough to tuck the tyres if that makes sense, so they'd always poke

I'm a massive fan of your wheels as well Dan.
You will be proud of me Dan...because I've actually cleaned the inside of the M4 this afternoon. My youngest daughter was complaining that it didn't smell very nice inside...so I thought that I'd better do something about!
Plus my missus had a quick look inside prior to me cleaning it(she doesn't go in it much at all to be fair), and she didn't look too impressed either!
It feels and smells much better now for sure.
I say it many times, but I love how you and Sam take care of your cars, and they always look in such a lovely condition both inside and outside I reckon.
Haha cheers Lee; it's a start then You'll be cleaning & detailing your car every other day soon enough You will be proud of me Dan...because I've actually cleaned the inside of the M4 this afternoon. I've the wife's Racing Jazz to do; that's bloody disgusting inside! I cannot get her to do it at all... Pfft
We were going to sell it but plans have changed; a new kitchen and new UPVc windows/doors have seen to that
Quick wash this afternoon and towel dried; the AG Rapid Ceramic spray is doing a superb job (as is the Gtechniq C5 on the wheels); tyres dressed and buffed
I've got new DA pads and Koch Chemie Heavy Cut 8.02 just delivered; so will hopefully be able to get around to fully detailing the car in the very near future. The bonnet and tailgate came up superbly with the Koch Chemie 6.02 fine cut & finish; but there are still some marks that are present, so the heavy cut will see to those and I'll finish with the 6.02 and ceramic coat then
Last picture shows the wheels as they sit now with the 5mm hubcentric shims and stud conversion; they sit perfectly IMO
