I think it looks gorgeous!

I too couldn't last the winter with that sat in the garage, and with regards to how much you've spent on it : Its your money,I'd personally never spend that much on tuning a car,but fair play to you,if none of us did it,it would be a very boring world indeed!

It's not winter yet? It's only bloody August.

agreed..... and although its 'modified' its still for many a everyday car?

I used my classic minis and even my elise in all weathers and i'd only consider putting a car away if it were truly rare or fragile....

i like the vrs, but find that ever-time I see one driven on the road, it is at its limit..

the Audi TDi had the same engine, and i had a remapped one, abeit 180 - 190 bhp, and loved it.

20k for a skoda is a bit steep but a least ou get enjoyment out of it..looks very sleeperish..

Not sure about putting it away for the winter - I would have said "fair enough" if it was a tuned MR2 turbo we were talking about here, but even then I know people who used such cars in winter, only stopping when the snow meant they physically couldn't move the car off their driveways. While you say you don't want it covered in salt and ste, I've never seen a new age Skoda (or any VAG post about 1999) with any rust or corrosion on the bodywork at least. If it's the monster torque you are worried about, surely driving it off boost is the way to go? Only the brave yet mental drive powerful turbo cars on boost in the winter! wink

Not sure about the plate either.

Glad you are happy with the car though, it's good to see someone spending their money how they think it should be spent.

Certainly is.

I've got a classic Mini, and I don't see the need to put it away until last minute. Cars exist to be driven, not sat for 5 months flat.
