BMW E39 540i Shed and a half budget

Quick Update:
Finally put some decent miles on the car since since refurbing the wheels and swapping the tyres. To try match the paintwork to the stellar work on the wheels I also fully degreased and polished the car, incl the windscreen and fitted new wipers.
With the weekend's glorious weather; a couple mates and I decided to trundle into Soho early doors and then acorss to belgrave sq for coffees and breakfast. Stretched it's legs on the m4 for a few junctions after and it's feeling more sure-footed than ever
Also my mates and said M4 excercise has confirmed that the 520i badge wouldn't fool anyone with the stainless exhaust bellowing away, unless the engine's off
Side notes: we weren't especially early but the whole place was so quiet it reminded me of lockdown, and I think we were probably getting 7mpg on aggragate... lol
