Clutch problem still there. It gets gradually worse. I think there is some air in the hydraulic system, it gets worse when hot and it's covered by the symptoms of this topic:

It's even possible that the seals on the cylinders have gone/are going.
The garage has let me down on this one I feel. I could do with taking it to a good indie, a really good one who can thoroughly bleed the damn clutch once and for all. Pump 15,000 PSI through the thing, I don't care. I just want my car to work

I have a new plan, that I plan to put into action next weekend.
The ZS has been up for sale for a month. I've had no interest, so I'm keeping it
But, I'm going to strip it out. Get some decent seats and a cage. As I go I hope to uprate bushes brakes suspension... But will see how the budget goes.
I'm going to start tracking the bloody thing!

I went along to Finishline in Hitchin on Friday and had an excellent chat with Chris there about getting the ZS on track. Very informative and pleasant outfit, would recommend it to everyone.
However, I still have too much of an emotional attachment to my roadworthy, low mileage ZS. Why don't I and the lads seek out the cheapest ZS on sale and track that instead? Then it doesn't matter what happens when we fall off...

Get on with it you big girl!
Either put it back up for sale at a more realistic price, or get your hands dirty.
(my vote goes to opt2)
I'll try and find you a link to my mates old Vectra saloon that he stripped out and went touring car style with - fantastic car in the end. Will hopefully provide inspiration.

Ah-ha, now i get you.
Well, that gives you a few more days of fannying about then, happy days!
(That said, i'm no better. I really should get my rear breakes sorted for this weekend!)
I would be working on the spelling of "brakes" personally....Well, that gives you a few more days of fannying about then, happy days!

I forgot about this weekend for a moment! Going to have to not clean the ZS again!
Thanks George, although I have not found a huge range of tuning options without spending ridiculously large amounts of new-better-car money!

Ummm, my excuses are: A) I was refering to what will likely happen after my "brakes" fail to haul me to stop next time your ABS is utilised. And 2) The R and the E are pretty close on the keyboard. And iii) Maybe that's why it's been going wrong so far!I forgot about this weekend for a moment! Going to have to not clean the ZS again!

Update! The car is now not currently for sale, as there seems to be no interest in an over-priced Rover.
So, just now I bought a gearlinkage rebuild kit and short shift lever instead...
Had a fight with a pheasant today. It's knocked the lower grill out of it's mounting "tags", breaking one of them and pushing the other out of line. I'll fix it one day...
