Really?! Well I've got to be honest I'm more interested in why she still isn't?!

(to anyone who doesn't know what I do for a living this must look pretty strange!)

But on the subject of the car, I'm guessing when you seen it it was the weekend it went to Porsche Kendal for the new 911 launch as I think it was the only time it's ever been there?

If you ever want a proper look around mate feel free to give me a shout, as I'm sure you can imagine I can talk old 911s all day long smile
The good lady is brand loyal I am afraid although she did consider desertion. I am sure we will have a chance to talk on some drive this year if not I may have to allow you to tell me all at a arranged time and place.

All the best for the new year.

Are you thinking of selling the SC? Is this because you have discovered just how expensive a woman can make the cost of her wedding?

heheRichard, yeah something like that! To be honest I kind of always figured the car would end up going one of two ways, a real short term thing or something I'd never sell. Depends if the right offer from the right person comes through I guess.

Weddings, like all big life changing events seem to end up costing a shed load more than you expect though eh?! To be fair I wouldn't be blowing the Porsche money just on a do, but now swmbo's finished her masters & uni it seems daft to have money tied up on the baked bean when it can pay off student loans, plus it should leave plenty left over for another addition to the readers cars thread wink

It's sad to have to sell to pay for these things, but its always the right/sensible thing to do really... There is always another time anoth place.
Ontop of all the £000's of pounds of payments we had to make in cash for our wedding, the wife also put a sneaky 7.5k on a credit card to pay for all the 'overboard' stuff so i sold her CLK to pay it off and put her in an old E36 Touring to teach her a lesson in marrying the wrong man biggrin

Best put at least £35k away for the wedding fella (depending on numbers)...then there's the honeymoon! LOL.

PM me if you decide to sell wink

Just came across this thread after the OP linked to it from a new one. Thought to myself I'd seen this car before, but it seems there are two orange 911 SCs out there, this one photographed at a Porsche event in 2008. I wonder where they both are now?

A good spot! Big wheels for a G Series car but each to their own I always say, I've no idea where my old car is now but I suspect it'll still be with the guy who bought it off me-I've certainly never seen it crop up on the usual sites although he was a fairly well known collector I'm told and does shows cars.

I'm imagining his insurance valuation is much higher now than when I sold it!
