commiserations
Lol thanks for the nice comment. Its not a bad car, I've had my boy racer days (Focus RS) and now with 2 kids need a family car with more space - a bit more grown up.
see you have had some nice cars - cossies etc - I've always fancied a cossie - used to pop up to me local ford dealer as a kid just to sit in them - got so many RS brochures in my garage.
When someone used our Avensis as a brake in 2010 we were loaned an 2009 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI SRi Nav and it was great.
The ride was firm, but I loved the dash and the Sat-Nav was excellent. When we took it around Matlock, Darley Dale & Chatsworth it really impressed us. It just takes off in third/forth due to the mountain of torque and it proved easy to overtake multiple cars. All while returning 45+ MPG.
Sadly our Toyota was repaired quicker than expected and we only had it for four days. I would buy one if I had to buy a car in that sector, but just spec leather.
Enjoy!

Cheers mate - yes engine seems very torquey and I agree with the firm ride - but the pay off is better body control when pushing on I suppose. The ride was firm, but I loved the dash and the Sat-Nav was excellent. i'd get a Insignia VXR.
Only joking.
Actually if my numbers did come up I would without hesitation buy a new 2012 Nissan GTR - 0-60 in 2.8 seconds!! considering the weight and power of the vehicle to achieve that time is just unreal!!

Keep getting these as hire cars at work, really impressed with build quality
Iits weired, before I had the insignia a few years ago I had a mondeo and sat in the Insignia when it was first launched and I was really impressed with the erceived build quality when touching the buttons on the dashboard, shutting doors etc - it is made in germany I believe and after running a Exclusiv model (and a hire car of the same model) hard every day, the really do stand up to abuse - which is nice!!Not sure about the wheels! Any other extras fitted?
I've got a silver 2010 Insignia 2.0 130 SRI as a company car.
Its currently on 78k. Comfy on the motorway, and goes fairly well on twisties.
Slowest thing on the planet off the lights, and service from Vauxhall has been far from great.

Yeah I loved mine, I had a bit more than Bluefin and Decat, Such as actuator, Tublar Manifold, and FMIC, ran 302bhp,and 330ftlb.
I am on my 3rd. The 160 is much better than the 130. I really like mine they are much better than people give them credit for too. I just wish they were a bit better on the emissions. They go around corners very well too. The first of a new general of vauxhalls that have nothing in common with previous models.
My father has the estate version but I think his rides on 18 inch rims.
Now that his has run in he can achieve over 60mph on the run plus his doesn't have the stop start technology so you having an ecoflex may get a bit more to the gallon.
His only gripe with the car is the handbrake as he says he would prefer a conventional one rather than a button as he says it grabs slightly when pulling away.
