Sunny Eunos Roadster
Discussion
After getting my hands on a real bargain from Ebay i bought this car for £400 got a few things to bring it up to a reasonable standard. This car will never win a concours prize but im well happy with the outcome for now as its only my weekend car and with other things going on like painting the house and keeping the wife happy.
First day after a 2 hour drive
Have done a few mods since last year really got the bug now so just a few pics to show you what ive been doing since 1 year of ownership
lowered my 5 saturday awesome and hopefully will be even lower in a few weeks of settling
New v's Old
Waiting for me
After a few bolts were seized and had to be grinded off
And Finally result
Very Happy
Performance air filter which im doing a custom heat shield as we speak
12" steering wheel is sooo cool and for £16 Ebay even better

I love story's like this it's great to read about real pistonheads repairing decent cars on a limited budget, rather than seeing them ending up in a crusher because they have the wrong registration mark.
A story like this is worth a 1000 posts of the normal one of I have 40k to spend on a new Porsche and have to get rid of my old car because the ashtray is full and it needs a new tyre.
Also it looks like the sun is coming out so I would say you bought the right motor.

Thanks for all the comments im so glad of the response when registering i thought no one will be interested due to the price and car selection as pistonheads is a more expensive car choice forum to many.A story like this is worth a 1000 posts of the normal one of I have 40k to spend on a new Porsche and have to get rid of my old car because the ashtray is full and it needs a new tyre.

But with a wife with house improvements ideas every month and thinking of starting a family this project is ideal for me possible go to a few pistonhead run out soon be good to meet you all
thanks once again

A friend of mine had a late mk2 mx5 which is basically the same car as yours except yours looks better as it has the pop up head lights, and she said it was the worst move she made selling it.
I had the smart roadster at the time although I preferred the quirkiness of the roadster I had to admit the Mazda felt a better built car and you just knew with the Mazda you wouldn't end up with some big bill, whereas the smart always felt like something was about to break plus the interior on the smart seemed to be made of tic tac boxes.
You just can't beat the formula Rear wheel drive with a bullet proof 4 pot natural aspirated engine it's what Mazda do best, plus being the worlds best selling sports car you know your always going to be able to get spares.
And the added bonus is being silver you won't have to wash it as much as it never seems to show the dirt.

Deffo lower lip spoiler would be nice looking for a cheap one
I got mine from here - http://www.mx5mart.co.nz/db.cgi?db=mart&uid=de...Shipping wasn't that much (I didn't get stung for customs tax mind).
Apparently the Renault Laguna front lip will fit.
