After having two Corsas and more recently a Polo, I thought it was time to get something a bit quicker; and with insurance being more reasonable being 21 I thought an S3 would do nicely.
Firstly the two Corsas, one being a 1.2 and then a 1.8
Now onto the S3, it's got quite a few extras on it
DVD SAT NAV. Navigation Plus.
BOSE audio up-grade.
Full black silk nappa leather.
Flat bottom steering wheel.
Multi-function steering wheel.
Front centre arm-rest.
Electric folding exterior mirrors.
Auto-dim rear view mirror.
6 X CD changer.
Rear parking sensors. Park assist.
Electric front lumbar support.
Interior light package.
Auto light and rain wiper sensors.
and some pics, picking it up on Saturday so I've only got the two for now, but I'll take some more at the weekend.
I've already ordered a Milltek Cat back non-res so hopefully that should be on soon. I will also be detailing it as soon as the weather warms up!

Thanks for the replies, and yes I can't wait! I was itching to have it after the test drive but I had to wait for the plate transfer to go through. Work this week is going very slowly! Insurance wise it's £600 on my own policy, with 4 years exp/ncb.
The Ferrari is still going well, main bills being the vpower!

Good to hear, the best kind of bill there is! Get some MY11 taillights on it, cheap/tasteful way of freshening the rear end up IMO plug and play too

This thread has blown all the student stereotypes away
21, student, drives an S3 and a Ferrari
gone are the days of beans on toast, a magnet of the electric meter and borrowing a neighbours broadband connection
ps. - post up photos of the Fez please
I wish! The Ferrari is my dads, I put some pictures up here:21, student, drives an S3 and a Ferrari

For now the S3 will have to do!
How is the Milltek cat back, non resonated?
I've just picked up an S3 sportback, (I started this thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... )
having had the stage 1 revo, I fancy a little more noise from the exhaust, but I don't want drone either.
Turbo back BCS powervalve looks a wise choice on the Audi-sport forums, but i'm not really bothered about stage 2 or 2+.
And why can't I see your images?

The Milltek is very nice, I certainly wouldn't want it any quieter. Drone wise it doesn't seem bad at 70.
If you are trying to get more power I'd go with the turbo back to remove the restrictive downpipe, however if you just want the noise the cat-back is fine.
Not sure why you can't see my pictures, they are hosted on imageshack and appear to still be working for me.

Yep, I can see them now.
Must have been my work network restricting them for some reason.
Milltek looks good, I'm looking to hold out for the BCS powervalve. Free flowing downpipe with an OEM soundtrack whilst off boost, which then turns into something pretty tuneful under load.
I keep watching this and failing not to smile...

That BCS does sound nice!
Little update, I had cruise control fitted at the weekend as it was the only other option I'd have liked. Driving it Saturday evening I also noticed a little bit of clutch slip in 3rd and 4th gear
I've booked it into Audi for them to change the oil and have a look but I've only had it 3 weeks! Also had a Google in relation to the warranty (Auto Protect/Customer Protect) and it looks like they are pretty useless.

So to update on my last post.
I booked it in to Audi to have the oil change done, I also asked them to look at the clutch and not to wash it (I'm a fussy bugger!). When I arrived I was asked if I wanted it washed/hoovered and was it just the oil change. I mentioned the clutch for the 2nd time but clearly they weren't listening as it wasn't mentioned again when I got the car back - I'll be going to an independent next time!
Since the oil change I've done about 1200 miles and driving with a bit more mechanical sympathy (dropping it down a gear on overtakes rather than relying on the torque) I haven't had any slip from the clutch. It's £1200 for a new uprated Sachs so for now it better behave. In driving terms I'm still enjoying it, some more power would be nice but for now it'll do! Being four wheel drive it's very planted and has no issues even in the wet. I had to pop back to University recently to sort out my final year, and was very pleased with an average of 32mpg (this wasn't dawdling about either)! My running average is 28 over 1400 miles.
On the purchasing front, I've ordered new discs and pads all round to replace the originals which have become fairly lipped and the pads need doing anyway. I've also fitted some newer rear lights as mentioned by a previous poster, I feel they've improved the rear end greatly and look far better. As well as this I've given the car a full detail and sorted out most of the defects, I need to take some more pictures so for now I've just got the two below.
