My Lovely New Car
Discussion
Hiya Guys,
been a reader of PH for a long time but decided to join now i have my new pride and joy.
i recieved my lovely new 2006 56 Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.4 16V on Tuesday - only a few Extras like the 17inch Alloys / Bluetooth and Rear Parking Sensors.
Its great drive - the mp3 player is brilliant - and for the size of the engine it pulls well too.
Being 20 i couldnt get anything too flash, but i think thats flash enuff its still £12500 worth of car.
What do you Guys think, i see alot of you have got very nice cars

You could have had a better second hand car, for cheaper, and spend a bit more on insurance, but as long as your happy with it

I was driving a 2.8 audi when i was 20. Cost me a 10th of that too. Still, someone's got to buy all these new cars for me to get 2nd hand bargains out of.
well i actaully got it for £10,500 - Due to getting a Vauxhall Partners Discount thru my Dad.
id much rather have a smaller engined reliable car - than have an older car with a bigger engine that needs work done occasionaly LOL no offence. lucky if you had 2.8 - i was gonna get a 2.0 turbo astra coupe, but the insurance and running costs was a killer

Who says new cars are reliable?
Welcome to depreciation town, population YOU!
Just kidding, nice car.

I was going to mention the "d" word, but then i realised that my brother has just part ex'd his porka 944 in for a new Skoda Fabia VRS, as its cheaper to buy a new car than it is to keep his 944 on the road in parts each month

Plus, my £600 525i has already cost me £340 in parts, and I've only had it a month

He could have, but he's got a decent, reliable (hopefully) car to build up some NCB on whilst also giving him chance to both save some money for a better car in a couple of years and more importantly get good on road experience before moving into a performance car.
C'Mon!!!

Miles better than the former Astra!
And it's more fun than an Audi anyway (probably)
Anyway, my first car was an Anglia, 1.0l of pure power, and probably the best car for pulling in!!
