98 UKDM Honda Integra DC2 Type R

Evening all,
After a couple of years of wanting a DC2 I have finally got my hands on one.
Advertised poorly at a very ambitious price with only a week to sell before it was p/x'ed, I was able to go see it the night before the p/x deadline, and ended up getting it for a great price.
So the car.
100% standard.
IMO the best colour for these things.
Just finished its 148,000 mile running in period (!)
2 owners, last for 11 years
Full Honda History
Private plate is accurate - she is no. 800 DC2 Type R!
She needs some tlc for sure, a cambelt is due and I'll give it a service at the same time. Radiator looks awful. Usual DC2 rusty rear arches. Rear light seals are shot. Interior isn't too bad but needs some love. Clutch feeling well used.
Apart from that rather extensive list she drives really well, I can't believe how sharp it feels even with the above and nearly 150k on the clocks. I'm hoping with its history/low owners that underneath its a good car that just needs some tlc.
Plan is to get it up to scratch mechanically and get the bodywork sorted, its bone stock at the mo but a few tasteful mods may find their way on - we shall see! Oh, and trackdays! I enjoy reading other peoples progress threads so will update as I go!

Thanks for kind comments, its by no means a minter but for the age and miles its pretty good! Will have to get some photos of it not caked in Gloucestershire's finest mud...
Its going to be looked at right away, but its my daily and I have other projects on the go too so will take my time and enjoy!

They are both great cars, but for me it has to be an Integra. There are just too many EP3s floating around, especially now with tacky mods as prices get lower.I see you owned a Civic Type R, how does it compare?
For a daily comfy drive the EP3 is better, but if you want to DRIVE and have fun the Integra wins for me!

Funnily enough it did yes! Or at least, it was serviced around there for a long time. I'm assuming that you are now going to tell me that you ragged it and stoved it into a wall??Love these cars, one itch I'd definitely like to scratch some day.
10 years ago it was a toss up between one of these and a 200sx and the lure of rwd and turbo power won out - don't regret it as I loved the 200sx but I do feel the most likely opportunity to own one of these legendary cars has passed me by. Can't be long before the well look after ones start commanding some high figures.

Rocking cars; they absolutely weep a feeling of 'special' in a way that very, very few others can at any price.
Sounds like you're going about things in the right way but get those arches looked at yesterday. They rot away in a manner that often isn't fully apparent until you start looking for good metal to weld to.

Bit of a progress update..
Managed to get the long overdue cambelt done! Took the car over to Hond-R in Abingdon, and I have to say how impressed I was with their service, pricing and work! Anyone else with a Honda in the area should definitely consider these guys.
Whilst that was being done also had a quick oil and filter change, but thankfully despite the age/mileage she doesn't appear to be using a drop!

Congratulations! They're great cars. I've had mine for 5 years this year and love it. Have the rusty rear arches too, so getting that attended to this year. Enjoy!
I do miss the mental drive of mine.sadly I couldn't stomach the practically 'consumable' rear arches. TGM advised me that every 2 years or so the rust will start to come back and a proper job would cost £2000

The JDM integra TypeR has a different specification to the UKDM version. Visually it looks different too.
