Thanks everyone.
AMG steering wheel took me two years to find a good one, Ebay.de is the best bet to find one. £150-250.
Rear spoiler I got off a 2.3 8v Jap import scraper. They are hard to find and seem more common in the US, try to get the boot lid as well. £150+.
HT lead cover took me three years to find, mine is a carbon fibre replica of the ones used in DTM. £150+
The exhaust is best to just find the tips and make a custom system as second hand ones will be past there best. £100-150 for the tips.

Finally someone's done a feature on theirs! Lovely looking car chap! I've got a 2.5-16v in blue black, bog standard save for some Ronal Turbo-esque alloys that i'm not too fond of. I must say, your AMG wheel looks very nice, where would I go about getting an AMG exhaust system as you mention above and other AMG goodies? I thought parts like that were pretty much extinct for these now?
The wheels go for around £800 for a good set of five, they are AMG Aero1's 17x8 ET28. You will need the AMG front wing spacer kit, still available from MB.AMG steering wheel took me two years to find a good one, Ebay.de is the best bet to find one. £150-250.

Ahh right, trying to think back now, that's above the steering column?
From the pics, it looks like the leather covered plastic cap has come off. On closer inspection, it looks, ok..... nevermind. Serves me right for browsing on the mobile site

A better view of my knob!
Hi John, hope you are still enjoying the wheels? Feel free to PM me some pictures of yours, would love to see it.
The AMG power pack consists of inlet cam, KE-controller, ignition switchgear, butterfly valve disk, fuel pump relay and a exhaust system with two cats. Very rare and I have only seen them on LHD 2.5's. I think I can do better by using Trijekt EFI with forged pistons and EVO2 cams, this should see a reliable 240BHP.

Thanks, but I would've given mine a 5/10 while yours is 10/10! The bodywork was a bit shabby and there were a few points of the interior that I wanted to sort (steering wheel, gear knob, vanity mirrors, zebrano). I know how much effort it would take to get one of these up to the standard you've managed, with parts getting difficult to source, not to mention expensive.
Your car really is a credit to you. You must've spent a lot of time and effort getting it up to that standard.
Yeah, mine went to Andrionkos. He was a member on mercedes190.co.uk . Do you know him?
Yeah I'm a member of the 190 club too. I can ask to see where you car is now if you like?Your car really is a credit to you. You must've spent a lot of time and effort getting it up to that standard.

Hi,
It's ok I'm still a member on there, I just rarely ever visit the site. I might drop a note on it sometime to see.
Can I ask if you had any issues fitting your wheels? I had a boggo 190E 1.8 to which I fitted a set of staggered AMG Mono IIs. I had to get the rear arches pulled out and get the front bumper trimmed slightly to accomodate them. Also, in respect to the wheel/tyre sizes, how does it ride now?
It certainly looks loads better on your Aero Is than the standard rims. Or any other style for that matter. I've only ever seen 7.5x17s on valvers, can't be many with your set-up I'd imagine.
No problems with the wheels at all, it's got the AMG front wing spacer kit but the rear is standard. It's ok I'm still a member on there, I just rarely ever visit the site. I might drop a note on it sometime to see.

Going from 205/55/15 to 225/45/16(EVO1's) there was no difference in ride, just better feel and grip. Going from 225/45/16 to 215/40/17 the ride is more firm but it still feels comfortable, grip and feel are just as good as before. All in all surprisingly good given the drop in profile.
The other worry was the drop in ET, it went from 34 to 28. Again this wasn't a problem as my 190 uses W124 300-24 hubs, the bearings are a bit more meaty.
Yes there are not meany 190's running the Aero's, Mono's seem much more common for people who want 17" AMG's (although these are often reps).
Not done a lot recently, had the fuel filter changed. A rear anti-roll bar link snapped, they are plastic so I upgraded those to S124 320TE links as there metal with a stiffer bush. The car feels a lot better now, much more stable and smoother. The new arb links work well with the EVO2 rear arb.
A few pictures;
I stumbled upon a engine management specialist who is local to where I used to live. At the moment they are just about to finish this;
They are looking at about 300-330bhp N/A...... It's to be a road car!
Seeing as I want to go the EFI route I asked what they could do for mine, they said for £2500 all in they would have it running on EFI using GSXR throttle bodies. This set up should see 100bhp per litre, so about 250bhp.
Time to get it booked in I think........
