That is such a lovely example, I love it. No daft wheels etc, top work. I don't mean to be nosey, but you mention it has been a challenge, why is that? If you don't mind me asking
Late 2007 ,overheating issues and running problems, thought headgasket.Turned out to be an inlet manifold gasket leak ,dripping of antifreeeze onto exhaust from
duff hose clip causing burning smell.
Late 2010 ,front prop broke, smashed up gearbox and front diff casings. Not yet got car
back roadworthy yet .
this broke
and broke this
this .turns out dont have pic available of gearbox, suffice to say if the clutch broke
the bellhousing must be a mess[missing more like]

Had to laugh at the sunshine in Sweden, and the snow in Brighton
Absolutely love it. Always wanted one and will be on the cards as soon as a good one comes up over here. Nice to see it getting used too!

I loved these as nipper, used to cycle down to my local Ford Dealers to look at the two they had in the showroom
If that jesus is at the mess ,well you should have heard the noise when it broke at 50-60 mphI loved these as nipper, used to cycle down to my local Ford Dealers to look at the two they had in the showroom
The prop is flailing about hitting gearbox, exhaust, car floor.
One piece of ally bellhousing ended up in N/S/R tyre and punctured it ,talk about add insult
to injury.I changed the wheel whilst waiting for 2nr AA relay truck in Exeter services
Saw -12 degrees that morning on outside temp guage .Checkout salt look above
With thanks to all those who wished me luck in getting this fixed.
It is now back on the road with all the oily bits in the right place.
Pity i broke the front spoiler before i even got on the road as the alley to
my garage is way too uneven for a spoiler so close to the ground
Will take some new pics this weekend probably.

Well at the time of the last post here the car had just been taxed.
Well 2 months later it is now not starting and the tax disc has returned to Swansea.
I did manage 1000 miles in the 7-8 weeks of using it.
Next update when i get it going and re taxed AGAIN.
Don't hold your collective breaths.

2 weeks ago recharged battery, fitted it and it started after doing NOTHING else
Taxed it ,went for a drive
Still misfiring/cutting out
Today decide to go out in it anyway ,firstly putting petrol in it.
It is now running fine,so the only thing wrong with it was low petrol....REALLY ?
Will go for a proper drive and maybe take pics tomorrow
Here's one from last weekend on Epsom downs before snow melted

Good to see the old girl out & about matey ,
I'm over in Epsom, sounds like your not too far away, how'd it drive round deceptive bends
Yes, very local to you .I'm over in Epsom, sounds like your not too far away, how'd it drive round deceptive bends
I try not to push too hard on the twisty B roads after a near miss with a cyclist
who had stopped just round a blind bend. That was in my old RS1600i without ABS
Time to dust off my thread.
After a disastrous attempt at going on a huge Euro roadtrip in it that ended in Dover on
July 25th.
I finally had the engine running today after refitting petrol tank with a new fuel pump
inside it.
The new fuel filter i fitted has a leak from one end and the fuel guage is stuck on zero
with the light on .
Which means i will have to take the tank out again to look at the gauge sender or do without
a fuel gauge forever more.
I sometimes wonder if it's all worth it
