Thought I would move my post in the mini thread to here.

In this crappy weather I'm getting more than 40mpg (Not verified yet I suspect it over reads like a lot of other trip meters). I love the internet radio and google send to car is very useful however I wish they would open up the connected app so you can use the digital dials with everything else. As well as better mpg the insurance turned out to be cheaper than my clio trophy and I have 8 years servicing. Have a few minor warranty issues so far, other than that the car is excellent. I think this is a keeper as it fulfils my car criteria of being fun, cheap to run and mean looking.

Hi nice colour combo

Not as keen on the r56 shape as the older 53 but they are growing on me. What are they like space wise inside over the r53 models?

Cheers
Seems slightly larger than an r53 although I've not had much experience with them. For me space hasn't been an issue but I'm only 5'8 and everyone that's been in the back was similar size (talking about short journeys here though). The boot is adequate for my needs and there is convenient netting for holding things down. The back seats fold flat so could get some big stuff in there.

I love how heel n toe is effortless in these cars. Can't stop driving it for no reason, even in crap weather it's fun. Only thing I don't like at the moment is the driving position is too high even with the seat at its lowest, but that has been the case for most cars I've owned.

Nice, great colour combo. Love mine too. Great little cars and for its purpose, daily driver and commuter, I can't think of a better motor. In fact I set myself a £25000 imaginary budget the other day and set about looking for a replacement just to see what I would come up with in the classifieds and guess what, I came up with a red and black JCW. Nowt else even tempted me!

Here's mine....

I was sitting on the fence until I saw yours on the other thread, lovely car.

Honeymoon period over and I still get excited to drive this car. Still look back at it after getting out. Love everything about it - looks, power delivery, turn in, gear change, noise, driving position. This and something like a ginetta g40r (if I had somewhere to put it) would be my perfect car combination.

Other things worth noting:

Google send to car very useful. Internet radio is excellent, even the mini radio stations are quite good.

Runflats seems to have improved a lot because these are a vast improvement over the ones I had on my Z4.

Not sure what difference the harmon kardon option makes.

I would prefer sport mode on and traction control off all the time, without having to select these.

As usual after-sales is a let down, need to find a better dealer or persevere with this one I guess. Went in to get my windscreen re-bonded to the car, instead they refit the dash and obviously still have the same problem.
