Hamish!

Enough terrible jokes though.

I thought I would start this thread as today I purchased a 1994 Renault Espace 2.1td. It's a little rough around the edges, the passenger side front window doesn't work, the temp gauge doesn't either and the exhaust has a loose bracket so rattles at low speeds. Other than that it runs well stops in time and handles.... well pretty much how you'd expect a 20yr old French people carrier to!

So how much did I pay for this mighty piece of barge? The grand total of £400!

So why did I start with such a terrible joke, well the car is nicknamed Hamish, why? Well I'll show you why:

The car was picked up in Stirling today and performed faultlessly,

It has tax until October and MOT until the end of December, I'm going to be using it for deliveries for our shop and general dogsbody work. I've got a few things I want to sort out and I'll keep the thread updated with what happens to Hamish. Hope to have some good fun driving it around smile

More pics:

I've got more photos but I need to vacate the laptop, hope you enjoy.

Huge laugh for minimal outlay - well done for being brave

Need to see a photo after its been driven in the rain - I have a feeling it won't look quite as fluffy.....
Already done, I drove back through some pretty wet weather and it seems fine dries off great. I really fancy doing a faux detailing thread just for laughs smile

Does it smell when it gets wet?
Nope seems to stay quite fresh which is a real surprise! Though there is a suspicious number of air fresheners around inside, I need to give the interior a really good clean.

Needs horns!!!!
It does have horns but they're a bit shabby so I might get some that attach onto the roof bars, just depends on expense, as for £400 nothing but the most basic of maintenance will be getting done.
