Ford Falcon G6E Turbo
Discussion
Just picked this up on Saturday as my new company car and so far i'm smitten - its an outrageous Q Car given the specs:
0-60mph - 4.97
1/4 mile - 13.2 sec
Top Speed - Limited to 150mph. Estimate 165-170mph unlimited.
4.0 6 Cylinder Turbo
362 BHP
393 lb/ft torque (2000-4750 rpm)
6 Spd ZF Auto
1745kg weight.
So far its returning about 23-25mpg and thats with fairly spirited driving which i think is pretty good.
Dimensions wise its about the same size as a BMW 5 series (E60).
Its also specced right up - elec leather seat, reverse camera, ipod/bluetooth thingummyjig, dual zone climate etc so feels very luxobarge but when you floor it it feels crazy fast.
I thought it had enough power but have found out you can chip it for about 300 quid to around 420bhp or about 2 grand gets you just above 500bhp

Here's a google clip I found of the same car as mine doing 0-60mph (100 km/h) quite, er, quickly...

Hey, less of the Mondeo comparisons!
Seriously it genuinely looks different anda class/size above when parked next to a Mondeo. To give some reference the wheels on mine are 19" and it still looks underwheeled. It's quite a big car.
The interior also feels way above a Titanium Mondeo due to leather, 8/12 speaker set up (with built in sub in rear centre seat), interior lighting etc. I had a 530d M Sport on loan and it feels like that in terms of steering/big car feel.
Colonials right on the car tax thing. Tax heavy if not done right.
New here they're about $57k (£37k?) or 6 mths old about $40-45k (£25k) and then depreciation is quite stable.
There is a full sports version called an XR6 Turbo but it's quite basic inside in comparison. Same engine as mine but it has an LSD whereas mine doesn't.
