RS trackday Oulton Park 22.03.03
Discussion
Right folks, this is it.
Due to popular demand from all PH RS owners the unofficial 964RS / 993RS trackday is now arranged for at Oulton Park for Saturday 22nd of March 2003 at the very reasonable price of £165 per car. There are 3 sessions available, each session for no more than 28 cars, and to encourage the RS owners to get of their RS I have arranged with Tim that the first 25 RS owners to register before the end of January will get the day for the unbelievable price of £149. Should se get more than 25 coming, we will take over another session, but you MUST get in early to book, i.e. post the cheques in January!
The day includes third party, driver & passenger injury insurance (you are on your own with the car) and the bonus is that this is THE FIRST track day at Oulton to ever use the remodeled Knickerbrook complex. Do not call me, contact Tim from Millenium at 01606 883876 or 07774 665888, and all you in the PCGB registers will no doubt get a call from Melvin and Paul respectively.
Lets all see if we can make the first event of its kind in the country a very special event for all the right reasons.

is this the same event open to any (type) 65 cars being held by easytrack ( www.easytrack.co.uk ) ?
I spoke to Tim last week, basically the word is that the day is filling up quickly, so, as ever, if we are gong to make this a pukka RS day, get the entry cheques over to Tim NOW or it aint gonna happen.
OK maybe it is too early in the year to plan ahead when there is snow on the ground, but if we make a start with this day, and all goes well, maybe we can persuade Tim & Marcus to throw another one later on in the year and get all the RS's out of their cossetted garages for the day. Come on guys, don't let me down, this is a good starting point for the future of all RS drivers to get together in style.

Thanx 4 the warning Colin. I think ur right abt too wintry to plan ahead!! It's booked in my diary, will get cheque off to Tim ASAP and book B&B 4 the nite B4. Will be staying in Hatchmere. Room for trailer and secure off road parking. Pub and Chinese nearby!! I'll be walking to dinner that night! If anybody wants B&B info, can fax copy of page in Autosport Cct Guide. Let me know.
Hopefully it may just be warm enough by then to try my slicks out!!

Update for all interested parties. The 25 special price places for RS owners have now been taken, although there are a few remaining places at the slightly higher normal rate. Anyone who has not paid up front please contact Tim as soon as possible if you are going to come, otherwise you will end up being a spectator or even worse (in some cases) a passenger.
As far as I am aware, 911 & Porsche World and GT Purely Porsche are sending along representatives to watch the fun, and given a little luck, I should have the first public outing of my new 3.81 naturally aspirated race engine, on demo in Adrian's 964RS as well as the ninemeister RSR.
See you all there.

Thanks for the update Colin, thats an impressive collection of 100db+ machines waiting to be released into/onto the Cheshire countryside. Are they all going out together in a session ? I shall head to the back of the pack to explore whether Kart control techniques apply. Who else is going ? still plenty of room for non RS types
I should be going, insurance willing, to give the Red Baron (now under new ownership) a decent sortie. Hope it's dry for the badgers' sakes!!!
Interestingly, my sensible replacement car, a Schnitzered-up E36 BMW with a V8 engine fitted, handles like badger poo compared to the Baron. That said, I don't swerve to avoid potholes like I used to
Here's to them RSs

Anyone who has not paid Tim is now a disappointed bunny, as all places have gone and if you didn't send a cheque to confirm the places are full. We have 38 Porsche's going, and about 30 RS's of varying guises. Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come out to play, and for all the maybe's we will see you next time!
