Stick a wanted advert here.

www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?p=1&s=332

I know a few PHers with GT2s, but with their recent enhancements I'd wager they aren't interested in selling at the moment.

Whats brave about a GT2? It seems the whole world has got scared about driving cars that don't have nannying 4wd and interfering electronics.

All it takes is a little brains about when to apply the throttle and the car is a pussycat to drive. It just requires a little more concentration when driving fast, but it is so rewarding........

Guy

PS A Modified 2004 GT2 got 5 Stars in this months Evo....... (it was black, but was not my one)

PPS Search Autotrader as well.......

Surely nothing dangerous about a 996 Gt2 as Guy said.

After all they did use a black one as the "SAFETY CAR" on track at last weekends porsche festival.

I was born with a right foot made of lead and one braincell

let us remember they call it the widow maker across the pond.

Edited to note Clubsports comment - 400 odd bhp all through the back wheels with the engine behind the back wheels and with no traction control? So what if the tyres are 315's. In my book that's slightly scary. Don't get me wrong - I'm still umming and erring myself over one cos they are simply delicious...

I've got a buyer for my GT3 and fancy a GT2 - the turbo doesn't really cut the mustard for me anymore... that's why !

the car at 68 is sold, and i'm not a fan of speed yellow. Was hoping smoebody here would want to privately let go of theirs

The OPC in Colchester has had a black 996 GT2 in the showroom for quite a while, they might be willing to come to an agreement before it starts to take root....

If you don't ask you don't get.....

(Speaking of which, if you buy it can I have a ride)(see above)

I think they are 12 inch wide rear wheels, which I think are 335s. Wasn't this because Walter Rohrl was getting oversteer at 150mph on the 315s? Great story in any case

Don't know about the width of the alloys but the car was initally developed with 295 width rear tyres. Walter R experienced oversteer at 190mph on the slight left, going under the bridge at the end of the Dottinger Hohe straight on the Ring, so they upped the width of the rear tyres to 315.

That's the difference between me and Walter R. When he experiences oversteer at 190mph he ups the tyre width a few millimetres. I, on the other hand, tend to explosively foul myself and die in a molten wreck.

Daz - yes, I checked and you are right. 315 is correct for 12 inch rims; I deleted my original post when I realised soon after.

Cheers

who's this cheeky little GT2'RS' at specialist cars in Malton then?

www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk/swap/jGT2/GT2.htm

Looks a bit down on power at 550hp, but you can't have it all can you? What sort of shed rolls around on 19" techarts, with a half cage and 'carbon black enhancement kit'? Some people just can't go to Tesco's quietly can they?

Oh, GBP 110k. Beans for the rest of the year then...

The interior looks like it is from MTV's "Pimp My Ride".

And the RS badge on the back is silly.
