Hi Everyone,

I have just bought a 993, my first Porsche. I have always wanted one of these cars.
I would be extremely grateful for any feedback, news or suggestions from other owners, particularly those from Surrey/SW London.

Many thanks.

Congratulations,

What's the spec? Any chance of a picture?

I've had mine for about eighteen months now.

Lots of 993 knowledge on here.

Best mods are:-

HID Headlights
RSR Exhausts & Motorsound airbox
Uprated suspension

Enjoy!

Pah. Best mod - supercharger

Great to see a new 993 owner, the place was starting to get cluttered up with the GT3 mafia and the Turbo yakuza.

100% agree with pp. If I was to add a 4th it'd be a decent steering wheel. The standard 4 spoke is

Agree again - RSR's are a must, airbox is great, and HID's give the car the headlights it needs for the performance (standard headlights are a little weedy).
HID's are easy to fit too, i took pictures when i did mine:

Well done Midnightp, an excellent car choice.

Is it a daily driver or a weekend car?

I actually quite like the standard wheel. The motorsound airbox is a must, and either £65 or free if you're prepared to get your drill out...

Each to their own I guess. Personally I think it's better suited to a London bus! I fitted a 996 3 spoke wheel and think it feels fantastic in comparison.

I have just purchased and now sold a 3 spoke wheel as I prefer the look of the 4 spoker. They're exactly the same diameter so any extra 'sportiness' must come from the mind

I like my 4-spoker, but it needs recovering. When it gets wet (wet hands on the wheel) it gets mighty sticky. Any idea who/how much?

Gratuitous pic.......

Nothing to do with the thumb grips and nicer feeling rim then
Like I said, each to their own.
