RUF Yellowbird
Discussion
You know when weird things just happen?
Well here's mine.
Sitting in relatively sleepy Biggin Hill when I here something outside of reasonable car status pull up. Think nothing of it, go and have a look in a bit.
Eventually think might be worth looking at out of the window, look a few houses down (which are set back about 20 yds) and see the engine cover being lifted on a porsche 911. In Viper Green.
Hmmm, viper green? Thats got to be worth actually dragging my arse outside for surely!!
So casually exit the house with a view to going to the car to see what it is.
Instantly see that no more than 25yds away is not only a 911 in Viper, but its a full blown CTR Yellowbird with the driver and pal (who lives in my road) looking over in it in typical macho style. Wander up and before I know it am saying "please tell me that is what I think it is" to the guy who appears to be the owner. "yup, sure is" comes the reply. Cue me pissing myself at looking at possibly my most coveted car, sitting in my out-of-the-way close.
Anyway, long story short, its been in storage for the last 6 years, one of 27? (Adam T ) and is absolutely gorgeous. Cue much picture taking, me looking like a complete nerd re: wing mirrors/wheels/narrow body etc. Say thanks and dive back inside.
Sit for 20 or so minutes without hearing it fire up and think why the hell did you not ask for a ride? So, trainres on, run out in the darkness to RUF being reversed to turn round. Go to passenger door, it opens with "well get in then!"
Videos and picutres to follow!!!

To be honest I don't know. It had been out of action for 6 years apparently and has been having some re-commissioning work done. The guy who owns it has another 13 or so Porsches apparently 2.7RS's etc.
If anybody knows how to post pictures from My Pictures on their PC, let me know my technical ability is somewhat lacking.
Get a photobucket account, it's free. Upload the photo's there (it's easy enough) and then copy the whole of the text in the IMG box below each picture and paste it here. If you quote this post you'll see how it's done.
And be quick about it

Right y'all. Here she is. Apologies for my terrible camera work.
The videos are crap and from a phone (at night with no night mode on!), but I'll try and cobble the best bits together at some point.
