'Just work harder' is a some what simplistic view
No it's not."At age 65, Sanders' store having failed due to the new Interstate 75 reducing his restaurant's customer traffic, he took $105 from his first Social Security check and began visiting potential franchisees.
The franchise approach was successful, and less than ten years later (in 1964) Sanders sold the Kentucky Fried Chicken corporation for $2 million to a partnership of Kentucky businessmen"

A 65yr old man became a millionaire off the back of $105.....anything's possible, it's been proven too often.

And if you need a bit of inspiration you can get it from a certain Mr. Jobs (RIP):

Made my son watch this. He's all confused about which A levels to choose and getting lots of conflicting advice. That's when you need someone much smarter than your parents to say "Follow your heart, young man."What seems to be missing from this tread is the fact that although 911 residuals have historically been good in percentage terms at say 65% retained value at 3 years, this still represents an absolute depreciation of perhaps £800 per month for a decent spec C2S or above. For the 991 even the most optimistic will be hard pressed to believe better than 50% residual at 3 years. Factor in the real world price increases and you are looking at probably £1200 to £1500 per month depreciation. No finance, lease, PCP etc, etc, deal can change this IMO.

As much as it's an ugly thing to say, a large part of the reason people buy exclusive cars is because they're perceived to be expensive and exclusive.
Speak for yourself. This is absolutely not why I buy nice cars. But it it is why I choose grey or silver and not 'look at me' red or yellow.APOLO1 said:
My old boss and mentor, RIP. used to say
” every one at some time in there life gets at least one opportunity, the trick is to realise it, when it happens.”
I like that saying, and it's true. However the opportunity isn't always to be a wealthy businessman, because let's face it not everyone can be wealthy. ” every one at some time in there life gets at least one opportunity, the trick is to realise it, when it happens.”

Does anyone have any GFV for the 991 yet?
It will be interesting to see where they pitch this. MTR
So my original guess wasn’t far out. On a mid spec C2S that’s the equivalent of £1200 per month depreciation
