if that's the org pec yellow non road reg car then your car will feel far nicer.

brakes poor and heavy clutch in the pec car I found, and loads of understeer if pushing on as they let no air out the tyre so you just melt them and run at 40psi !!

I left pec disappointed with the GT4 but it's better than that in the real world :-)

I put first dibs on the black one when I arrived for my PEC day so as not to drive the yellow one!

I asked for the black one but they said no as the yellow is pre production and they don't mind thrashing it frown

I was there in the morning in THAT GT4.

It was fabulous. The brakes were properly bedded-in but that's how I like them. It makes h&T easier and more natural. Car is phenomenal. So there you go, different guy, different opinion and maybe they fitted new pads.

There I was after driving 250 miles in mine thinking the car felt too composed, too stable and then I got to throw it around the handling circuits where you can feel the car grabbing the brakes to prevent the car sliding out of most corners. It felt super planted and when it lets go, super easy to manage a little slide. Too bad I wasn't allowed to turn off all aids but it still showed what a great platform it was. The new handling circuit is truly epic for drifting out of corners with one corner like the bus stop in Spa and another with 2 corners that just allowed the car to gently drift out. yes you barely get into 3rd gear but what it did was show what an awesome platform the car had.

I need to get the pork out on track and make some time for it rather than my usual CSL. I'm in love with Porsche again.

PS: The interior is pretty drab without leather. That has to be the best £1k from porsche ever.

The PEC car had battery power as a 4th line in the display window. Is that only available with PCM?

I was informed recently by my insurer that 'market value' is only up to a declared value. This is why they ask you what the value of the car is or what you paid for it when you take out the policy. In the case of a total loss they will then only pay the market value up to that figure i.e. if the market price goes down you get less and if the market price goes over the price you paid/declared you only get the price you paid/declared. To get the current high market price of the GT4 you need to get them to agree that price when you take out that policy....you will of course pay a higher premium for having such a high value.
Manning agreed £100k on mine ... with PVTS ...

Classicline - written agreed value at £110k, as many PC trackday says you like, 6 normal trackdays, no tracker required, great to deal with.

In return - a new GT4 video (Warning Fat American heel toeing)

More interesting however he alludes to comparing it with the GT4 race car in a later video!

nice wheel shuffle which got him in trouble on the 1st lap !!

and putting stress and high temps though a 600mile gearbox, bearing engine etc, not ideal.

My first post after months of following the thread (thanks to all those posting, helped my get through the long wait as well as agonise endlessly over spec).
Build finally completed yesterday so expecting my car to arrive early March, the black car blew me away at the PEC day last weekend so couldn't be more excited.

If anyone has particular circuit / organiser recommendations for inexperienced trackday drivers then would love to hear them. Definitely need to get it on a circuit this summer to really drive it.

Welcome Soff... I've looked at the ships leaving Emden and looks like it will arrive in Grimsby on either 20th, 23rd or 26th Feb if the info I have is right.

Not long now!

Thanks Fokker, that's great, quicker than I feared it might be. Will probably just miss my car as I head off skiing. Bring on the sun in March.
