I asked they said they only record plates coming and going out.

So no luck with that one.

Now the damage is so slight the dent man struggled to see it, but I do find my self looking at it.

Porsche price to repair it was £3400
These 2 statements would seem to be at serious odds with each other!

Any pics?

i had a simlar sitation with my 6 series. Bint reversed into a space and didnt realise she had grazed my bumper.

I waited till she got back and pointed out the black paint on her car and silver paint on mine.

I explained that my car was nearly new and I would get it repaired as cheaply as possible. If she argued I would go to the police and insurance and her exces was 200. I got it smart repaired (they paid directly) for 180.

I would write to scrote, explain that his paint was on your car, and that dent repair has got it 95%. He can pay you for that or you will go to police and insurance he will lose his NCB and have to pay excess...

This is a quote for something your dent man couldn't see?

Either he is clinically blind, or your OPC is more creative than Walt Disney himself.

Lol he is not blind. I do believe they work for Walt Disney, but I not arguing with the garage.

He hit the wheel it needs a refurb, so they want to check the alignment. New door I thought was pushing it, but they said it was cheaper than time removing dents. Got some dents down near swage line and some wear a reinforcing bar is.

They also said the curve of the door was wrong, looking at it can't see it. But they said it had been pushed up. Hence the new door.

Can I just claim directly off his insurance?

Did he give you is insurance details? If so yes. I assume you have pictures etc?

If it isnt perfect get it sorted at Porsche BUT tell them to stop pissing about with new door.

The chap who damaged your Cayenne won't know that the CCTV didn't record the incident.

Sorry to hear of the problem Bacardi. Having a biff is never good but a biff in the honeymoon period is very upsetting.

The problem is that you know it's there and probably won't be happy until it is returned to the standard it was at before the idiot hit you. Porsche may be charging a lot but if that is what it takes to make you happy and give you peace of mind then get it done and don't spoil your enjoyment of a car you spent a lot on and probably waited a long time for.

The biff wasn't your fault so why should you accept your car not being as it should be. I would put it in the hands of your insurance company and make sure the vehicle is repaired to a level where you are totally happy and able to enjoy it again without any niggling thoughts. if the idiot who hit you isn't happy he can take it up through his insurance company.

Good luck

On this theme can anyone recommend a smart repair guy in the North London/Herts area? I have what looks like shopping trolley scratches on my rear bumper. No paint broken and no dent but T Cut isn't taking the scratches out.

Just a bit of an update.

The third party insurers could not find him on their system. My insurers had a look and said he was insured by them. I had his daughter giving me grief saying they struggled to get him insured in the first place.

I put a formal request into the garage under the data protection act for the CCTV. Today I collected it, it shows they 207 coming into the garage and side swiping my car.

So a bit of success, I now have CCTV showing my car was parked at pump when he hit it.

Good for you. I hate it when people give sob stories like that - why is that your problem? Hope you get it repaired to your satisfaction.

Got an annoying rattle coming from the passenger side of the car when going over more rough road surfaces, perfectly ok on smooth surfaces. Is this a comon issue or is it back to the dealer, car only 2 weeks old and it's driving me mad

Been a while since I have been on, Check around passenger area for something loose, if nothing there, glovebox etc, not forgetting drawers under seats, get it back to the dealer, you want peace of mind whilst driving, well I do anyway

Does it sound suspension related? I've had issues on both sides
