Looking at the classifieds and there are 20 x 997 turbo between £47.5-£52.5. So plenty of supply, not much moving as the markets slow.

Much be a few dealers worrying about the amount of metal they have which is stuck to the forecourt.

Roll on February.

They will go to 996 prices easily as they built in mass numbers period. Look at them dipping below 993 turbo prices now! Get a gt3 !!!
Which a 996 GT3 or 997 GT3?

I agree with you Bridey but 997 GT3 will also follow 996 GT3 pricing. ie 997 turbo by March 2014 £30k and 997 GT3 £35k by March 2014.

Inevitable with the number of these cars made, fuel and insurance prices.

I will have driven my turbo circa 70-80k miles by then and I bet it will still feel tight. I just love it. cool
I think u will be right and u wud have enjoyed it. Good luck to you

As a daily I think the 997 turbo is probably the best all rounder!

The issue is you can't buy one at £39k
Oh yes you can, 4 went through last Thursday at BCA Bedford last week all with 35,000 to 45,000 miles all with main dealer history, prices were £36,000 through to £38,000.
Hope this helps....

Doesn't look like 997 turbo are moving in the classifieds.

There are 144 listed although there are a few non 997 turbo included (compared to only 75 996 turbo) so a plentiful supply.

There are approx 24 997 turbo between £45,950 and £49,995.

Anyone who how much these are supposed to be dropping by each month?

Just looking back.

16th April cars were touching £49k
18th April there were 108 on sale (give or take the odd misplaced car).
8th Oct there were only 14 cars under £50k.

Today:
Prices at £46k, but we've seen advertised at £43k.
144 cars (give or take the odd misplaced car)
24 of those are under £50k
25 of those are between £50-55k

So alot of cars have moved down in the price band and there are more on the market. Could be the time of year but I'm sure more cars will come onto the market at the weather gets better leading to a further downward movement in prices!

I dunno about you guys but I reckon this one is pretty good value for money:

2 year Porsche warranty from OPC
That car must of been for sale for ages, all the foliage in the background is very green! biggrin
There are 3 997 turbo's at OPC's at £50k, so covered by the 2 year warranty.

Great value!

If they are not dropping enough for you, try buying one. They'll soon drop like a stone once it's in your garage. hehe All a matter of opinion.

I don't think you can calculate the monthly amount it is going to drop? I wouldn't wait on it dropping any more, I'd get more money and buy one as it is. They're worth every penny. smile
I'm sure the auctions or the trade have a guide which shows what the monthly drop is?

I'm just selling mine and have had very low bids from dealers. I think they're amazing value for money now. I just need to find someone who agrees but is actually buying...
What's the spec and what offers are you getting?

I just get really tired of the constant discussions on depreciation, most appear to come from people who never seem to get round to buying a car. Just make a decision , buy the right car & enjoy. Life's too short.
I understand you get tired about the discussions on depreciation especially if you own one, but nobody forces you to read the thread.

Think that sold, it was cheapest tip ever from opc.
Not bad for a car with 2 year warranty - bit leggy though
What is 'leggy' about it?

not high miles per say but add another 20/30k miles and will be headache to sell or costlier to keep
It will sell for less, but doesn't have to be a headache or costlier to keep than any other 997 turbo.

Yep fairly static, although there are a cars selling!

17 Feb
Prices at £45k - ignoring the V car at £42k.
170 cars (inc the odd wrongly placed car)
37 of those are under £50k
17 of those are between £50-55k

So the volume of sub £50k cars is growing which is going to put pressure on some to drop their asking price!
