GT3 real or fake ?

"He does however still maintain that his is a limited debadged model with a few gt3 bits deleted on purpose !!!"
This sounds like he's still saying it is a debadged GT3 with a few GT3 bits deleted.
As someone suggested at the start of the post just look at the chassis number at the base of the windscreen. The number will be like this WPOZZZ99ZXS690001.
The important digit is the one i've made bold. i.e. the number that follows the 6 will always be a 9 on a GT3. Then you will know for sure if it's a C2 with GT3 aero kit or a GT3 with strange options.

Its a VERY good price for a LHD Mk1. Normally looking nearer £50K+ for RHD - especially during the track season. This is LHD money. For another £1K you've got a porsche inspection and full warranty on the car - that's what I did and it was worth every penny.
The car mentioned sounds like a C2 with a load of kit on it. If it was a GT3 it would have the appropriate red callipers, GT3 logo on rev counter, GT3 sill guards, low ride height, no back seats (or seat belts), roll cage (if Club Sport), fixed bucket seats (or sport seats), a different engine - check where the oil filler is on this car as the GT1 lump used in the GT3 looks totally different to the M96 series engine!
However, just to confuse things further, as well as the Club Sport and Comfort versions of the Mk1 GT3, there are a couple of GT3s in the UK that have the full Carrera interior - ie rear seats and leather in the right places. It's also probably worth mentioning that the MK1 GT3s were either a T or a V plate. If it's not on either of these then it probably ain't a genuine GT3.
My C2 is black, with Aerokit and sports exhaust. It does not have a 'Carrera' script on the tail and most people assume it's a GT3, despite the fact my reg number is C2 ***!
