S1MMA is ok as he wanted 235/35/19 & 305/30/19. Can't guarantee N spec though - I'm in Belgium at the mo and can't access Camskill's website.

nope the PS4 is like a hot hatch tyre which replaced the PS3 which replaced the Pilot EXALTO 2The PS4s is the replacement for the Supersport which was the replacement for the PS2, PS2 must be 20 years old !

Same boat as you as my tyres I dont think will make it through next MOT at end of April. Oponeo have PS4S in the size we need, but would they be that much better than N Rated PS2's?I've been told that PS2's are now discontinued and a replacement is on the way. If you don't have OPC warranty then yes PS4S every day of the week.I have gone for Cup 2, I'm not compromising on PS2 any more. I don't track much but PS2 is so old now it's a joke to use them.
I doubt PS4S will be N rated in 997 GT3 sizes anytime soon, so I'll just use Cup 2 till warranty expires. I'd have 2 sets of wheels if I had a garage!
Demon you are right that using PS2 is a joke, but Cup 2 for a road only car is a bit much, and those of us with warranty need N rated. What experience do you have in the cold and wet on cup 2 in your GT4, how do they handle it?

Possibly not relevant given the car is obviously very different but if the PS2 to new modern tyre (say Supersport or PS4S) difference on the standard tyres as it was for the CGT tyres going from PS2 to Supersport, I can assure you that it is night and day between them and not a single CGT owner with his head screwed on the right way would ever choose to go back to the older tyre.anonymous said:

While I agree higher performance in a tyre does not necessarily equate to a more enjoyable driving experience, it's not quite as clearcut as in a car imo. Personally I've never changed to a newer model tyre and not thought it was a better tyre for the car than one it replaced. anonymous said:

Couple of things here. if we are taking about cooking models with road only use, then yes having the newer tyres will give wet performance benefits and braking benefits all around, but just having much higher ultimate dry grip levels doesn't do much for the driving experience IMO.For GT cars it's a bit different. On the 997.1 they are designed for cups, but anyone that used original cups will know they lasted 5 minutes and were lethal in the wet. The only choice I had was cups or ps2 and as mine is mostly road use I went for ps2 (n rated for warranty). This is annoying when you take the car on track occasionally, because you are only using say 70% or so of the performance available for dry cornering grip. Something like a PS4S would be perfect for me, handle road use well and still good when occasionally used on track. PS2 falls to pieces on track, cup 2 a bit much on the road, so the middle ground is perfect!
Shame they just don't N rate them quick enough for those of us in warranty. It's great you can have warranty till 15 years, but they can't give us a modern tyre choice to go with it!
I had Cup 2's on my GTS and found them very good for road and track and pretty good in the wet to a point. They do not deal with standing water well but wet/damp roads they were fine.
I now have PS4S's and although I haven't tried them on track yet they seem to have the same level of dry grip as the Cup 2's, haven't tried them in the wet yet.
