Seems too expensive to me, GT2's aren't that far away from equivalent Turbo money, the trade offered £49k for my 0202 24k high spec mint 996TT!

funny that grant, you said you were offered £53750 when i was interested in your car!
scotjc from pcgb before you ask!

Scot that was back in March/April, & that is the price I wanted for a private sale. Then the best trade bid was £52k, I had then paid £750 to add another years warranty & wanted to achieve more than trade price to sell the car privately, £1k over trade seemed very fair to me, but I respect the fact you wanted a keener deal.
I Hope you found a great car, what did you end up with?

really enjoying it funnily enough!
Found that I have a lot more confidence in the car eg the reassurance of awd and the psm which i didn't have on my carrera. Turbo push is really what i always wanted and never felt the rush the same in the carrera and coming from subarus kind of missed it tbh. The front end seems a lot more stable and doesn't seem to wander/bounce as much, maybe i'm missed the point of the great porsche steering feel before but i prefer the sure footedness of the turbo and the confidence it breeds. Found that the cars quite a bit thirstier in town and short runs but still good on longer runs (high 20's from a 3.6l and 2 turbos still amazes me when i compare it to an old 1600 capri i had!! )
And you never tire of the look on peoples faces when they ask what size it is, they then ask does it have a turbo and you have to correct them and say no, it has 2!!

I have mentioned this in Ashes other thread, but thought it best to post it hear as well, as it is an important consideration when buying a GT2.............

Sorry, it must be the heat, the one thing I forgot to mention was the PCCB's (standard fot on the GT2). The first generation ceramic brakes have gained a bit of a reputation for potential problems, again it certainly doesn't affect the majority, but it a fairly worrying issue as they are about £5k an axle to replace. Ask GuyR. Of course if there are issues (& Porsche say they aren't ideal for extended track day use!!!..go figure for a track biased car)you can always change to steels all round.
BUT the point I was making is make sure you get them checked properly, as even a full set of steels with pads will be about £2k-ish for the whole car!
