Goodwood Breakfast Club - German Sports Cars (This Sunday)
Discussion
Just in case any of you are local, the Porsche Club Speed Championship rolls into Goodwood tomorrow (Saturday) for the first Sprint meeting held at the circuit since the Championship began. Lots of PH'ers will be there, myself & timmo included, would be more than happy to meet up with anyone if you come along.

A few of us are meeting at the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead at 9am if you want to join us.
We'll be at the Devil's Punchbowl before 9am.
Aiming to get there a bit earlier for a coffee (if anywhere's open).
Look out for a light green 3.2 Carrera and a dark blue 993.
See you there.

Hi all,
Are there any convoys going from the Surrey area this Sunday?
A couple of us (993, 3.2) from the Esher area are going down. We may pick up the PCGB convoy from London at Wisley BP garage at 7:45-8:00am, but would rather go down with PHers if anyone's meeting or passing by locally.

I'm hoping to pick up the PCGB convoy as they join the A3. I thought I'd wait in the lay-by on the slip road where M25 traffic joins the A3 (by the semaphore tower). Stop and get me if you see a yellow 964!

I got there just before 9:00 to find a PCGB lock-out......
Lock out, as in not letting anyone in? I'm not aware it was a PCGB only event?
DAZ
Lock-out as in no room for the non-PCGB Porkers when they turned up. Nearly every Porsche in the main part had a PCGB sticker on it, could be just a coincidence I suppose.
Some quite specialised Porsches hidden away in other car parks, when there were several of the same type in the main bit.

I don't think that's the case. I got a spot very close to the bacon sarnie wagon in the main paddock, but only because I arrived very early (8am) and I'm not a PCGB member. Having stood taking pictures on the way in from shortly thereafter I'm certain that there was no agenda - it was just a case of "first come, first served" for parking spaces.

Sorry, I'm not implying it was their intention to stop anyone else parking there. Merely an observation that the majority of cars were PCGB ones, and I didn't see many elsewhere.
As you say it's first come, first served, you could see who had go there first.
As they don't know what'll turn up, it's difficult to leave spaces open for someone of the more 'interesting' late-comers.

Agreed - there was at least one another '89 3.2 shitter in guards red like mine!

Got there a bit a later, was good to see so many cars there, even if quite a few were NOT german sports cars...

Nice pics: Sorry about the dirty wheels - just got back from holiday and only had time for a quick washover!
As for PCGB favouratism that is tosh..... You just turned up and parked.... When the parking was full you got sent to the paddock..... (where there was also a host of PCGB stickers as well).
