Seems we all jumped to conclusions!! Took my old engine undertray up for Matt the other day (what a service!!).......rolleyes

It's not the ENGINE undertray Matt needs, but the one in front of it....

BTW, Matt, you car has an oil leak.....

Indeed, strange shape, you fit it from just in front of the rear tyres, and it extends to just behing the rears tyres, but it looks like I don't really need the thing anyway. As for the oil leak, yes I had noticed it since this bit fell off, but i have not yet had a chance to seriously look into it. I had been keeping an eye on the oil levels as a matter of course and I had not noticed anything untoward before. The car does not get out that much. Why is it that the oil gauges in the car (both pressure and level) are so badly designed? That sounds like something I would have expected on my olf griff.

Most trays are held on by a mixture of tie ups and bolts as the thread clips after 15 years give up the ghost after being removed for every service. If it isnt split it will probably fit back on
