I currently have this for sale: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/454921.htm

Been up for about 2 weeks. I think the faltering economy and general business/jobs environment has a lot to do with it.

Hang in there, there's always demand for clean Porsche.
Not sure buyers like highly modified cars that have been hammered round tracks!

Hi

Sorry Paul, but a tip 2.5 is not going to light many peoples fire. Whats the point of a Porsche that isnt quick?

Sorry if I offend many people but Its the truth.
I can think of many reasons, ability, handling, the pedigree.

Highly modified? Hardly, lol! Still on stock K16s mate, and just realy a flash, exhaust, and intake mods. It's incredibly well taken care of, and the compression and leakdown tests show this to be the case. Thanks for the feedback anyway. What do you do with your Porsche, wax it and look at it a lot? wink

It looks like a fun car but I wouldnt blame a supposedly slowing market on a lack of interest in it. As you said, good honest Porsches will sell at a fair price.

Traded my 993C4S last week - supposedly the car everyone wants - and not a single viewing in a fortnight and priced at the point where 911 virgin thought it would go in a day....

I reduced the price today and I've had 2 emails about it. Both of them ask the same question. Whats the lowest price you would go to. WTF is the point of putting a price if they are just going to ask that, I thought the etiquette was;

See a car you like.
Ring up about car, if interested.
Discuss car with seller, possibly discuss price.
Arrange to see car.
Visit car.
Haggle on price.
Take it or leave it.

Apart from the interior pictures, do you think there is anything putting off prospective buyers?
For a Tip with that mileage and interior you have to go LOW.

£8900 is fairly low in comparison, tomorrow I'm putting the old alloys back on and taking some new pics. Also not advertising it with the hard top and I'm going to re-advertise it for £8000, see if that can't shift it.

unless you have something ultra rare and desireable, selling privately can mean trade + a very small bit, if anything....I am buying lots of cars at the minute which have been advertised privatly at very sensible money and not had a phone call, the "bread and butter" market is VERY slow at the minute

I can sympathise with the OP. My glorious 964 has been on the specialist Porsche sites and PH for a few weeks and bar a few interesting chats on the telephone nothing firm has materialised. It certainly seems a buyers market and no doubt some bargains are to be had.

Completely agree. I refuse to reply to the many emails I've had of this type!

Been up for 3 weeks and not one response. Am I that far out?

Wife wants to sell it, I don't, so not really bothered... more intrigued.
