A few smiles on the way home for sure. Not done enough miles yet to know what its really like yet.

I expect it will take a bit of learning, a few trackdays before I'm comfortable in it.

Very nice - which one of the many silvers is it ? smile
Arctic. Unless side by side, they all look the same to me apart from GT silver which is obviously a bit darker.

My latest acquisition just back from Ninemeister and also had new wheel package from Chris at Exel. I've just reached my 65th, and after having many 911's in the past, I decided that I wanted one as a 'keeper', and after 3.2's, 964's, 944t's, 993's, 966t's and 997's, I finally decided on a narrow body C2 993 tip; I know the purists will say get a manual, but for my use, I decided a tip. would suit me just fine.

I found the car advertised privately on 911uk, and on inspection, found it to be a well maintained, good solid example at a sensible price. I decided that I wanted a turbo front bumper and air ducts fitting as well as many other jobs on my wishlist such as sports silencers; I also wanted a complete mechanical checkover for peace of mind and cosmetic paintwork attended to including chassis legs.

I chose Ninemeister in Warrington because they are a 'one-stop' shop, able to do all mechanical work as well as body/paintwork.

I picked the car up a couple of weeks ago, and I must say that I'm extremely happy with the standard of work from 9m, and will definitely use them in the future to look after my new 'baby'. Whether it is a 'keeper' remains to be seen, but currently I'm a very happy new 993 owner. I'd also like to add what a superb service Chris at Exel Wheels provides, I've used him several times now, and he'll always be my first port of call for anything wheel/tyre related.

Cheers, but as far as I'm aware at present, the suspension is standard apart from a Lowering Spring Set which was fitted by SCOM for the previous owner a couple of years back; on the invoice, the spring set has a part no. of 937 330 041 which I can't find any details for.

Plates are ugly and big on a car so having reduced plate made with only a few letters on looks good on any car imo and also hides it's age.

Couldn't disagree more. Cut down plates look so very contrived, whereas a normal sized plate simply displaying a short few characters makes the point without screaming 'look at my number plate, it's special!' (just like the owner, imho)

Tony - Very nice and welcome back to the 993 fold. If I'm not mistaken I bought your GR 993 a few years back? What a great car that was. Never missed a beat in 3+ yrs.

Not really looking it's best at the moment..... A small blister of rust on the rear wheel arch plus a few stone chips on the wings..... Well, would have only left the roof and doors. A while you're in there job!

Hi, I thought it was you, I let you have that car too cheap !!

I'm glad you appreciated and enjoyed it and was slightly surprised you sold it to buy one of those old 964's wink

Seriously though, I love all 911's and your Jubi looks superb now, must have cost a bit to get in that condition. Cheers.
