PCM wouldn't bother me too much but the carbon buckets are approx £6K if my memory serves?

Wheels look like they have been refinished. Look more grey than silver.

Same... Personally wouldn't be fussed about PCM, but no buckets spoils it. Though the contrast stitch is nice.

Buckets do cost a fortune which is why I can't understand why people de-specced them! Even if you got them, you could buy the sports seats and sell the buckets at a profit.

Not too many guards and the colour has grown on me on the spyder.

Does anyone know if PCM and Buckets can be installed after market and costs please?

Hay another Guards Red spyder ... That's not allowed smile

The wheels look good in the original colour - ie. not black, I'm thinking the photo is not doing them justice because I believe that they would need a refurbishment after just 1500 miles.

A woman can kerb 4 wheels in 15 minutes let alone 1500 miles!

I'm amazed that has sold so quickly. Makes mine look a complete bargain! Obviously the guys that scan auto trader aren't as clued in on spec as those who frequent piston heads.

Or just aren't as anal on spec as those on here? whistle

Lets face it, out of 230 UK cars only a small fraction frequent PH.
Perhaps everyone else really aren't bothered about different seats, PCM, weight issues, wheel colour, USB ports, etc, etc, etc.....

I've ordered the obligatory "Spyder" only badge, and also the short shift kit which is not that expensive, but the labour to fit it is. Contemplating a DIY approach but having looked at http://billswebspace.com/Porsche987ShortShiftDIY I'm not sure I have the patience.

On the subject of short shift, I've been dying to say "don't give short shift short shrift".

There, Ive said it.

You're joking! There's 27 listed on the list your Spyder thread. That's nearly 12% - of every single car sold in the UK!!

But 88% of owners aren't!

88% is a much bigger number than 12. biggrin

Yeah but...

You have to be in the top 10% of anoraks to come on Pistonheads. You then have to be in the top 10% of those to actually post on Pistonheads.

We are the top 1%, the creme de la creme.

To get 12% of ALL Spyder owners is statistically remarkable!!!

'Spyder' only badge.... Do tell? I know nothing about this and it sort of bugs me that it says 'Boxster Spyder'.

My old one was "Spyder" and I've just changed my new one to "Spyder". You can get the Spyder only rear emblem from your OPC for £27 plus vat ish. Well worth it I think.

What's up - you all embarrassed to be associated with a 'normal' Boxster?

It reminds me of the 981 / 991 - too many letters on the rear end! Looks much simpler with "Spyder".
