A rather nicely worded "F-Off" if ever I read one?

I'm out, by choice.. deposit refunded. realisation that is still just a Cayman!
I already have one of those for near half the cost... i'm not going to wait about like a muppet to see if I qualify as one of the DP's "mates", got better things to be doing driving
Same here... They can play their games and I'll stay smug that at least I have a GT3 RS, with a proper race engine that's appreciating nicely. And I might even add a 997.2 Turbo to the garage for less than the GT4 would have cost me.

Reading between the lines that email says

"Yes, we meant to do exactly what we've done. Thanks very much"

nothing really new but

Just had a conversation with the guy form my OPC,he literally had steeped off the plane from germany, basically he says although they would like to make more ,it is unlikely (but never say never) to happen ,as has been said figures for next year will be smaller than this years 124 (wont be more this year as they are also making the gt3 rs as well) as they will be starting to tool up for production of gen 2 cars, and the biggest issue is the delays caused by the gt3 engine problems.
they still haven't confirmed production slots.

Probably final numbers and build slots shortly after Geneva??Some markets such as Russia and China slowing so we could see another 50 or so cars added to UK production ? Overall reading correspondence it seems clear they want to keep numbers low. Wonder when Gen 2 production starts for basic Cayman as
there will already be a firm date in 2016 when Gen1 stops and any retooling takes place. Gen 2 GT4 say 2017 earliest?

Me too.. in fact I might get it out and play at Donnington Park tomorrow, or if it's wet i'll take the Cayman R.. I don't need to put up with sniffy dealers playing games.

Oh, I cancelled the Macan Turbo order with them as well.

Gotta say.. it feels good!
Weather looks good for tomorrow - I'm not far away.
Will be popping over to watch.

Having re read it again, I would tend to agree, it does literally say 'do one, we want to keep these cars for customers of our choosing''.

I like the brand as in the cars they produce. What I dont like is the salesman that think they are somehow better than you because they work in a Porsche dealer. Im not saying all are like this but a good percentage. Ive had better customer service in Currys buying a new microwave than ive experienced in some OPC's.
