I'm definitely using my R as Porsche intended:

Just over 2k miles in 4 weeks.

It's an absolute joy to drive; and she looks so much better with a layer of Teesdale grime on her!
Good work - enjoy smile

To replace the R8? How is it to live with?

Andrew, for Christ sake , will you please slow down - I can't keep up - you seem to be buying them virtually daily - it's really confusing my little brain smile

Yes, Paintshield clear film over the whole car.

Heard a story from an OPC yesterday about a 911 R getting damaged when a Paintshield firm applied the film! Owner is apparently taking legal action.

I use Paintshield themselves, and their fitters are ace. Used them on lots of cars now, with a perfect track record. Depends what is meant by a "Paintshield firm" - lots of people use similar (although AIUI not identical) film, but may have no association to Paintshield themselves.

Sorry.....not sure if it was Paintshield or another PPF supplier. Sloppy on my part. It was the supplier/fitter rather than the product that is the problem.

Another positive experience for Paintshielld from me - Knowing them as I do, I can't believe this would be anything to do with them smile

It was the two 930 flat noses that stunned me - dealers were saying that there was no market for these, unloved by 'genuine' Porsche fans - then they both reach over £200k!

Who buys cars that every other sane 'genuine' Porsche fan wouldn't touch?

Couple of punters with more money than sense see a 'rare' Porsche and decide they have to have it in this market.

If they bought as an investment, they'll be in for a long wait to realise a return!

Nobel and Mondial look like great value. £30k+ for the RS turbo escort is nuts

50k for an E-plate 928....this would have been a 12-13k car only a couple of years back.

Then again, if an RS Turbo Escort is apparently worth 30k then this seems like a good deal! Crazy market, surely can't carry on inflating for much longer.
