Fascinating thread.

What's your plan with the underbody. Are you going to be running any ground effect?
The chassis has been built to form the shape of the original undertray, its a pretty simple shape until you get to the start of the diffuser. Then the fun shapes begin, but I'm going to try and do it justice there to... The only issue with effectiveness will be that we have raised the car from roughly 60mm ground clearance to 90+mm to make it road friendly, so we may not be as effective at that height. But the car can be dropped back to 60mm with stiffer springs if we so wanted...

Door gaps looking better. Will have to open them up to 3mm before paint, but for now as long as the door closes I'm happy....

Thanks you for your kind comments. But for reference look at an original tub esp the front suspension mounting points. It's some times hard to believe that thin gauge Aluminium can take such loads on the shock tower esp. Time will tell but I'm more than confident the load paths and pickup points are way stronger than anything needed for even a race car.

Wing here at last, was beginning to think it would never arrive. Now who's going to sponsor us ?
Plenty of room on the wing for a large Naming sponsor !!!!!

Rothmans maybe or Kenwood ??

It has been talked about, but due to using the GT3 ECU means we would have to use another form of intelligent control unit....
Due to the size of the wing ( being more representative of an original ), we might dial the wing back to below zero degree rake for any high speed runs, so that could be a automatic setting controlled by actuators to.. Lots of options.

Mockup of wing mounts, the wing came with mounts that are to close together so will be making new ones later on. But for now just need to try a few positions....

Trying to bring the wing as far forward as I dare, as this thing is going to make some serious downforce. I'd like to keep it as low as possible in more of a low drag setup, as it has a cord of 420mm and a width nearly 2M so in free air heaven knows what kind of downforce it would generate. But it cant be to low as it would then obscure the tail lights. Well that's all the fun getting it right I suppose...

Look I got a A in Physics, Technical drawing, Metal/WoodWork and Maths at School but I will reveal only a C in English Language. People that bore me don't get my attention and funny enough he was a boring English Language teacher.... mind you I might have got an A in Cookery as she was a Goddess with a Figure to make a spotty kid all uncomfortable, but seeing as I never took the class and seeing as we later found out the Metal Work teacher was knocker her up I can't cook either....
