You got the CR yet MrDemon? Hope you are enjoying it. Mines up for sale, though only tempted if the right offer comes in, as I've actually got around to driving it this weekend!!!

Loving the black number plate, did you use them on the road? Maybe not worth the risk considering your points tally!

Had the silver on black on the car for a little while but as you say it's a little too noticeable.

Did look good though smile

M33ufo...I'm considering a cal myself, but have been told that the smg 'box is awfully hard work by current/previous owners...especially vs the likes of PDF today...any thoughts?

This didn't register the first time I read it! Why are you selling your beautifully spec'd CR? What do you have in mind - a Spyder for the summer? Good choice smile

The SMG on the E46 M3 (not CSL) isn't something I've tried but apparently isn't brilliant. Whilst the CSL has the same basic system it uses different software. It can be a little clunky at very low speeds because it's a little like an on/off switch - just takes a little getting used to. When you're giving it some beans it's phenomenal (make sure you select the quickest shift change - 5 or 6 should do it). The blip of the throttle on down changes and the huge induction roar make the car a real delight to drive and gives a huge grin factor.

You can't go wrong with a CSL. The best M3 they ever made imo (can't comment on the GTS). You should try one.

yes had it over week already now, Shame I could not buy yours, but the dealer offers were so low on the BMW, I had to just take the great deal Porsche Leicester did me to swap cars.

I love it though, full spec also.

Just through absolute lack of time to drive it. I've so much on that I can't stand to have such a supremely amazing car just sitting there doing nothing. I've put it up for sale at a high price; for the spec, I reckon it is worth it, plus not prepared to sell for less than a figure in mind. If someone like me comes along looking for a low mile mint example with high spec, then it will be worth the money, http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Good luck with yours. Looks great.

There's one CR I was very tempted by. Only seen its like once. A very lovely Viper Green example probably over a year ago in the Pistonheads classifieds. Seemed pricey at the time but in hindsight was probably very reasonable.

Not 100% on getting rid (99% though), but I won't be replacing it with anything else.
May be taking a sabbatical from work for a bit, or a change of work completely.

Good luck fella.

I would suggest avoiding criminal law for the time being if you are intent on a career change. All sorts of nonsense proposed for me currently, it grinds you down.

I did get the roof off this weekend, but there's plenty of room for improvement on the weather front!

Shame my Spyder is not 100%. The clutch sensor/starting issue is getting worse, and so it's booked in to the OPC next week. Also every now and again I get a lot of white smoke on start up. Anyone else get this? Plus the front shocks 'creak' a bit on sleeping policeman at about 10mph. I had a courtesy 981 last year which didn't do this.

Hopefully all of this can be sorted under warranty, but if any of you guys have experience of these things it would be good to hear your thoughts.

Need it 100% for when the summer finally arrives! And the Evo triangle!

Get the clutch switch removed, and they all smoke on start up.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do:

Am sure OPC will soon have your car right as rain. Mine smokes on start up every now and again, it's a characteristic of the engine.
