All of us have a vested interest in fending our corner when we see our business being discussed.

I'm beginning to wonder if a few people on here have an ulterior motive in making sure any thread mentioning Henry's business (one which has grown to be one of the largest dealers by volume of used porsches in the country, so hardly surprising his operation is frequently mentioned) has continual posting and arguing to keep it at the top of the forum, as some sort of devious marketing plan! Come on guys how much is the pay off? where's my cut? jester

There are a number of people with financial interests in the porsche trade who post on here. They quite rightly reply to comments when their business is mentioned in threads, offer technical advice when asked and provide the story from the other side of the fence. IMHO we have a better forum with the view from the trade. Now if these people are gaining financial benefit in increased trade due to being a known poster on here I really don't care as long as I see their posts adding to the knowledge base of the forum.

Isn't any question of posters getting financial benefit from using the forum, whilst sticking within the site rules, Ted's concern not ours (oh hang on, Haymarkets)?

Having said that I'm sure any coordinated campaign of strangers all coming on mentioning what great service they've had from the same company would stick out like a sore thumb...

Really should put the mileage on adverts, I hate it when dealers don't do that.

As if it doesn't matter what the mileage is?

It’s one of the quickest ways to value a car

is it just me who notices that random posters pop out the woodwork now when somone says somthing about henrys cars ?

luke, thedoctor, etc.

Come on guys, get a life. What are you suggesting now, tham I`m inventing people to say nice things about me?

Please - I`m a little more grown up than that. Luke1963 would appear to be a real person, with a real name from Newcastle as opposed to someone called "uber-loightening von genchler" from christ knows where (the name given on "Nervous`" profile).

It means a lot to me that people, some customers, others just on-lookers, jump in to defend me from time to time and I really don`t feel the need to invent imaginary friends.

Someone doesn`t like the lower extensions on a £20,995 Porsche 996. Who gives a shit? Do I need to invent someone to repeat that they were a factory option - I think I`d save the imaginary buddies for a more serious outing!

Incidentally Gary I`ll be up in Lincoln again in the near future, (buying up another bit of the city), we must hook up for some lunch.

Henry

Yes, I am real, sad really that some peeps on here seem to think that if you dont follow the masses on an opinion then there must be a conspiracy theory....and yes IT IS A FACTORY OPTION. I have the codes on my order to prove it.

I may not be a prominent poster but it read the forums daily and cant understand why Henry always seems to get a load of stick albeit tongue in cheek a lot of the time. Hes one of the few guys on here that provides sensible, informative and readworthy posts.

Now henry....wheres my £50 for say that?
