I agree mate, my plans have been well and truly balls'd up but there seems to be nothing happening on any front with anything, I can only assume it's a waiting game for Porsche to announce what they are going to do for you guys that had your cars delivered and then taken away frown

I'm not convinced we as purchasers mean that much in the grand scheme of things!

I assume you're not serious here!

Rest assured you mean nothing to Porsche and anyone thinking they mean something need to stop sniffing the white stuff.
I'd read that again buddy!!

Currently I am staying positive and am putting my trust in Porsche, I will be hoping for an announcement in the next two weeks regarding compensation for all involved.

A bit of an update from Rennlist, I think this guy lives in Belgium and it appears to be a real world agreed compensation arrangement: -

Hello everybody, hereby a short update on my compensation.

Today my request of an extra extended warranty was NOT approved by Porsche.

Unfortunately Porsche was NOT willing to extend my warranty because the said the new engine was good enough.

Personally I am disappointed of this decision. If Porsche thinks the new engine is good enough why not make up an error and give one or two years extra warranty!? This is just a little addition to make up for their mistakes and make clients feel comfortable for a long time. (and sustains resale value IMO) And most important they regain trust by sending a strong message.

To sum up my compensation that I did get:

Porsche gave me: €175 for every day my 991 GT3 is on recall. (without a loaner)
WITH a loaner it would be €100 per day.

Also my dealer told me that he expects the car to be on recall for approximately another 8 weeks.

Hope you all get good conditions too! And most importantly that all of you get your cars back very soon! (without further issues/problems)

Best,

H

compensation amount will more than cover the cost of a few years additional warranty.
I never said that LOL!

It's tough guys but the letter we received stated more news within three weeks so I guess that's the next milestone, I think if another communication is distributed stating nothing about anything an awful lot of us will start to get very fed up with things, I think this will be my decision point if I'm being honest.

If things go pear shaped then it will be one of three choices: -

1. MP4-12C
2. Gallardo Superleggera

and..

Deposit on Honda NSX

I enquired about your car that you didn't take up with Leon at Bristol OPC - he said he'd had a few calls all asking the same and said it was just not true - no car - never was ? Also called another OPC that had just had a slot canx - again no car . Please PM me if you genuinely know of a slot as I really would like to take you up on it smile
Seems a bit weird that??

I would go with the 12C, but wait to see how the warranty plays out. Imv the 13MY is a bargain at current prices, don't see the 650s as a big improvement. To much going on at the front end. The MSO and an original bumper had much more pure lines, Also whist the new steering feel is more weighted it acutely offers less feel/ feed back than the out going car.

For me I don't see a big change in the gear box on the 12c to the 650s..Big improvement in brakes, in both feel and stopping power from cold. Almost as good as, if not as good as those on a 997 4.0 RS.

For me the 650s box is still along way behind the likes of the 458SP and GT3, although the PDK in GT3 form, is just about the best gear box on any road car, imv..Don't think I am alone on this point.

very, very fast car though....this side of the top 3....nothing faster...

IMHO
Yes I think the MP4 would be top of my list purely because the Lambo's gearbox is a bit crap, however the 458SP is starting to look achingly beautiful, do you know what availability of this car is like?

Porsche have stated they will respond to all owners/depositors in the next three weeks, now 2 weeks, so I would suggest that we can all start chucking dummies out after that communication!

Also, since the sunroof on my car is defective and I have heard its a 3 day fix, should I be entitled to compensation while it's off the road?
I would expect so and a loan yacht, an invitation to the Queens next garden party and an all expenses paid trip to the moon, you wouldn't expect anything less I'm sure smile

You gambled and got the best colour this time mate. You know what they say about yellow sports car drivers though, you should throw in the towel on yours. But not before you have emailed me the relevant OPC details.... wink

I am wondering whether a sprayed front splitter would improve the looks of the car or make it look odd.
Do you think so, let me sleep on it wink

I like the black front lip, but then I just love the whole damn thing, I really love it, a bit too much me thinks wobble
