The autoblip implementation in the GT4 is very slick. And I guess in normal road driving probably more sympathetic to the drive train as well. However, I find if I use it it confuses me - ie I seem more likely to forget which gear I was in, which one I'm going into next. It's a problem I have in PDK type cars as there is less muscle memory and H pattern action associated with it. So bizarre as it sounds I have opted to never turn on autoblip even in spirited / track driving environments.

I tend to switch to autoblip after 30 minutes driving.

the issue is you blip yourself without thinking and it's auto blipping as well.

The extra cooling that you get in Sport mode will kick in in non-Sport mode if you drive hard enough. I got a copy of the workshop manual that explains how the cooling system works. If you drive in what the car sees as "sporty" fashion with the sport button off, it will open the valves that lower the coolant temp to that of Sport mode.
Ah, thanks for that, good to know I won't be absolutely have to use the autoblip when on track just to try and keep the temps down then. It's an entertaining enough feature i think to have though.

Pretty much sorted now thanks, just going to add PDLS

Got the seats, not gone for PCCB or Clubsport, I may regret the later as I will be tracking but mostly road trips etc, I am upto
75k which is enough for me for a "second" car

Being told July delivery, got all sorts lined up so can't come soon enough !!

Any chance of a quick nosey at yours before my spec is locked in ?

Cheers Lee

The state of the paint from Porsche factory is shocking. I had a GT4 delivered 2 months ago and it took 2 days to detail and polish to an acceptable condition. Once finished it was stunning. Sadly I have sold it, as the deal was done months ago when I thought I may have another one, the second order fell through after being promised by the dealer, that (Quote) "You gave us the first letter of intent and deposit, you will definitely get a car)!!!, which I planned to keep my 996 GT3 company.
I am now looking at a couple of GT4s with delivery mileage, for a company purchase. The paint condition on both of them is shocking (dark Blue) already has inclusions and contamination on the paint, holograms in bright sunlight, even some light scratches !!!. Silver which is much harder to spot the defect's, but I assure you they are there.
This is from 2 car's which list at around £85K and are selling for a premium.
I did make a premium on mine, but paid for a full detail prior to sale.

Are you sure the second GT4 didn t fall through because Porsche GB intervened?

Why did you buy one and sell it thinking you had another on the way...isn't that blatant flipping?

What reaction are you expecting to this post? I'm going to keep mine to myself, but I don't think you'd like it.

I reckon the threshold for the third radiator kicking in is only around 5000 rpm .... so you don't need to use sport.

Isaldiri, are you getting a GT4 ?

If p5hrr is the guy I met at Oulton Park in the black GT4, then I feel he's getting a bit of a rough ride. His now sold GT4 was a cancelled order which was never spec'd, so came in default which is black with no options. He used the car, including travelling down from Scotland for the RS day (on track too). It was bought from the dealer on the understanding that he'd retain his position in the queue for a GT4 he could spec to his taste.

Headed to Silverstone Saturaday with a friend of mine in his Viper Green GT4 to watch some ELMS and WEC action. A few shots taken on the way down. Let's say Dunlops in snow is exciting
