In my R which had PCCB's that I finished off after 32,000 miles --
The R was under braked on 4 pot 330mm steels.the question is, is the GT4 under braked with the 6 pot 380MM GT3 steel set up ?
I ran the same cars side by side for 2.5 years one on steels and on one PCCB, the PCCB set up car was night and day amazing over the steel fitted car. so on the R PCCB were worth it 10 fold.

Can we request the Mods to split this thread up, as it's getting pretty tedious and boring with all the bhing going on?
I might suggest:
- One for those who want to critise other people's choice of seats
- One for those who want to critise other people's choice of brakes
- One for bhing about anything other people have chosen to spend their own hard earned cash on.
- One for people who are genuienly excited by these great cars and want to share constructively their thoughts, ideas and experiences (or as a long standing PH'r am I being way too naive, that such a thread could exist?).

But yes I think a new thread for those who have got their cars would be appropriate ,with none of the nonsense on this thread.

Considering the number of cars that have now been delivered, I'm surprised by so few pictures on here or elsewhere. Come on guys, if you've taken delivery, please post up some pictures for the rest of us.
Agreed. The best place for pics shouldn't be the flippers thread..!I'd like to know if any of the cars have arrived with the Dunlop tyres.
Also whether anyone who specified the normal (ie not black) wing supports has ended up with the black ones.
I pick up mine on Wednesday and will start a new thread with pics - which admittedly will be running the risk of criticism from certain elements of the PH intelligensia given i was stupid enough to order it with PCCB's, clubsport and in a boring 'non GT' (whatever that should mean) colour....

In which case I'm really looking forward to seeing it, as I've only seen one with the clubsport package. What colour have you gone for?seawise said:

Hopefully I am collecting on wednesday as well,so you will have some company on the thread.Sandy59 said:
One of the things I liked about the PCCBs I've had on previous GT3s was their feel and especially the initial bite.
My last GT3 was a 991 on steels, and to be honest they felt every bit as good as my previous 997 GT3 PCCBs, although they did squeal a little a low speeds, but anyway going with them on the GT4.
This was only with reasonable speed road use, so don't really know how they'd compare on track.
I'm sure you'll be just as happy with the same steels on the GT4. I've only used my car on the road but the pedal bites right from the top with superb feel, progression and power and no squeal. I haven't tried PCCB but can't imagine how they could be any better except for their lower weight. They don't rust after a wash nearly as much as the ones on my 996.1 GT3 did either (and the GT4's are in a different league for performance). My last GT3 was a 991 on steels, and to be honest they felt every bit as good as my previous 997 GT3 PCCBs, although they did squeal a little a low speeds, but anyway going with them on the GT4.

tyre-to-road adhesion only come into account once you have knocked off most of your speed !!!!
not many cars can lock tyres at 120 mph so bigger brakes stop you faster on the same tyre :-) (normally the argument which is had and people say no it's tyres)
Please explain; I can't think of a reason why it should be harder to lock at high speed except for the few cars with significant downforce.not many cars can lock tyres at 120 mph so bigger brakes stop you faster on the same tyre :-) (normally the argument which is had and people say no it's tyres)
Perhaps cymario can give us a technical verdict.

I've personally seen two cars delivered in the past week - both on Michelins I'd like to know if any of the cars have arrived with the Dunlop tyres.

I can't imagine a 1400kg car like the GT4 being under braked with the 6 pot 380MM GT3 steel set up.
