Oak met green is porn. I may leave her black as long as they promise a piano show car finish. I’ll then ruin her again smile

Thanks Chris. Sadly i don't think I'll ever be able to drive her as an "invisible" 911 turbo again. I'm sure you agree the stance with this bodykit even sexier. My poor credit card laugh

Hmmm black is very stealth even with the GT2 body kit. Then back to signal green. Then mint green. Then Oak. Then Gulf. And finally round circle back to black. You actually need permission from Porsche AG for Reading's restoration team to colour change. True hehe

Have you gone up? It’s not immediately obvious to me from those pics.
I agree I have asked Ken to send me more pics tom on ride height as three nasty speed bumps on my outside road that I negotiate most days. 9e are known for a bit more negative camber and lower ride height which fine for track but does not suit ordinary fast road and you get the the inner front tyre wearing bit too quickly. Will have a look at the pics tomorrow and maybe have a quiet word but certainly can't fault for enthusiasm! Does look really good in black too I agree guys love black. Just a pain to keep clean as this is how it will still be used. I'll speak to OPC Reading and see what they say re colour change and if they'd also perhaps do it. RPM are the only guys so far quoted with back to bare shell colour change at £50k plus VAT under their CSR programme. Thats a full strip everything to bare metal and shell then put humpty back together again. I'd have left her like she is if the current paint job wasn't so average in certain parts. Alls well that ends well always had a fetish for this.

Also just looked at RPM quote at £50k plus VAT with colour change. It also includes purchasing and fitting (doh!) the GT2 parts which are £30k just parts in their quote Yes they sub out to another paint shop but the GT2 parts need a far bit of mucking around if you want to fit the GT2 parts like factory.

Not worth going through other than no where nr factory. Paint quality poor full of contamination and one sill wonky. They've had two goes too. On first go front half of the car the met fleck not match back and front of the car. True. People who introduced me to painters said it was an issue with the nozzle of the spray gun or something. Sent it back after they'd re done it and had a really close look. Sill off too. They were told this is a money no object repair. Exact words. Maybe some double counting on parts too no big everyone makes errors. Queried and never even replied. I'll put it on their google review in due course but if you love your car don't send it where I sent it for Gods sake. Fine if you're a dealer and don't mind having your bumpers badly colour matched. Not so good if your car means something to you.

Also thinking about GT2 RS carbon bonnet, carbon front wings may as well go carbon roof like Isysman on 911UK but unfortunately another £30k plus VAT. I do like the GT2 RS in black, The carbon doesn't look quite so shouty like against red or blue but its still very pumped up and showy compared to a regular cooking GT2. Almost too much of a caricature for a daily.

GT2 RS and regular GT2

I prefer the clean look. I'd paint the carbon too but its crazy expensive and I like a sunroof! All about the looks the carbon not much weight saving on a 1600kg turbo and you lose carbon finish if you paint. I think I will stick with black but a higher quality paint finish closer to a GT2 from factory like in pics above. Beautiful in black. I'll have a cheeky ask on the colour change just before she's delivered to them.

I'm happy to badge her turbo - maybe in 24 ct gold look to match the callipers. Can have two gold small sticker type badge in 24ct gold 9e on each door. Excited! biggrin

Or matt black for all the badges which is super stealthy which I also like wink

I far prefer gen 1 lights Toby. Going red though. I've bought latest and greatest OSRAM bulbs for the headlights as my Xenons tired after 14 years.

That would be good ... one step further than I did on mine smile

I know that car. Its very very fast. Deserves a GT2 bodykit. In fact you could go GT2 RS with those rear lights wink

I like them but prefer the gen 1 rear pu too. In fact Toby when I first saw your GT2 on those dymags I went straight to take a 997 GT2 for a drive. Been in love with them ever since. My inspiration smile

I can ask Dan. Even if I don’t buy let’s see what he says. It’s pointless on mine Toby. She’ll never be a GT2 whatever I do. She’s a full fat turbo at 1600kgs smile
