I have Porsche buckets in my 996 GT3 which are excellent. Where are a good place to purchase a set? Anyone in need of a set of comfort seats?
Gert at Carnewal can sort you if you can't find any used sets, perhaps OPC can also source? I'd be tempted to keep the original seats in storage.

Just had a look on carnewal.com €3390 for a factory set in leather with embossed logo in headrest, also if you are looking at a used set mine have recarro stamped in the leather on the back, obviously replica seats wouldn't/shouldn't have this.
I gave up trying to find a mint set, my car is a comfort spec so God forbid if the car was ever sold, I would take all the cage out and put it back to comfort spec as the seats are brand new in terms of condition.
I actually really like the replica seats that I have as they really suit my build, no back pains whatsoever. The Comforts killed me !
Cheers Consul, could you provide a link to ones you put in.

We were kindly asked by the Porsche chaps not to post any shots of the cage, mind blowing what is in there ! Truly should not be allowed ! smile
Fair enough, pretty sure they could charge an entrance fee :-)

The seats were purchased through Fearnsport but supplied by Design911. As mentioned, they are a bit small around the waist / lower back so perfect for my frame, I would sit in one first
to try the size and fitment. There made of Carbon so they are a Hi quality seat but minus the Porsche crest.

I did not know about the GT2 event at Silverstone organised by Ram. I attended two years ago and it was brilliant.

I am going to try and organise a meet and drive with Kal next year as it seems were all like minded and knits about these cars so will keep you updated.

Buy them, safer than any of the replicas. In the unlikely event you do have an accident you'll be grateful for them.

Thank you for that but fingers crossed I have found a set. Pretty happy and making plans for my first get to know you road trip.

I seem to pick up my cars for the first time in Winter just hope it is not as snowy as last year.

Thanks again and I'll keep my eye on those.

Quick question: is this a GT2 as badged or a Turbo S as advertised?
http://www.comparis.ch/carfinder/marktplatz/porsch...

Bonus question: what colour is it? Black as advertised or dark green as appears?

Look suspiciously like a GT2 to me.

Get to pick this up in a couple of weeks. Hopefully get some more decent pictures and driving time bounce

Can you get the VIN, only way to properly check.

Ride height looks high in photos.

When I was there last, I was shown around the storage and service area, I lost count of the number of Carrera GT's and 4.0 RS's I saw - truly mind blowing!

Agreed, looks too high, and also has Turbo S colour (GT silver) wheels.

It's an April 05 car, so doesn't that mean it'll be a Turbo S ?

Could be a late registered car, only way to be sure is to check the VIN.

something doesn't look quite right though, ride height combined with wheels etc, it certainly isn't standard spec of either models :0) looking at the photo.

Just had another look at the photo's it has a child seat in the back, guess it's not a GT2 then!

More obvious than that - it has a rear wiper - GT2s do not come with rear wipers.

Thanks everyone!
So... ride height and wiper, GT silver wheels, rego date... child seat (wondered what that was smile. It doesn't have a sunroof though (thought that might be an indicator)

Appreciate the insight

A job for the guys at Leathercare Renovations Warrington. £100 tops. Mine will be heading up there in the next couple of months.

Gents, clearly you're clearly both feeling somewhat aggrieved, but doing your dirty washing on here does neither of you any favours whatsoever. Delete all your posts quoting emails, we don't want to see them, neither do we need to see them. Bad form all round IMO.

In response to an enquiry the 2 buckets are for sale and today the mark is even better due I guess to natural elasticity aided by a hair dryer.
