Yeah I know. Its amazing how slating Porsche for how they have handled this whole debacle turns into slag off the Lambo guy ?????

FFS I had a GT3 order because it was going to be a great car to run for 6 months, it hasn't turned out that way and I sympathise with everyone caught up in the mess but cmon guys don't dish a proper supercar that works just because you wished you had also got your money returned but didn't have the balls to make the right decision
I haven't slated your car, I love most cars, some I love more and some less than others. I'm a petrolhead. I also respect the right to voice an opinion on an open forum. But you just say the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. You had a GT3 on order. You pulled out. You are horrified at Porsche's treatment of owners. You have a nice lambo. You drive it. You are horrified at Porsche's treatment of owners. All 991 GT3 owners must be jealous that you have a lambo that works. You have a lambo. You drive it. You are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Perhaps you may find people with more in common elsewhere on the mighty Pistonheads forum?

Enjoy the lambo.

Just got off the phone with the Porsche Dealer in the US. He confirmed last week they got a notice from PNA stating, All GT3's that have NOT started production will be a 2015.

I will call PNA and demand that if my car comes off the line as a 2014 with 2015's on the boat one of two things I want
1. A 2015 and you can keep the 2014
2. A large reduction in price for the 2014.

Yes both cars would be the same however I did not place my order in time to get a end of year production car when the new ones come out. Just consider this, when the 2014's or any Porsche arrive at the dealer, how much discount do they give to get rid of the 2013's? Dealers still have 2013 911's.

Porsche you are really testing us. You give dealers information and PNA still says " We no nothing" this is just a bunch of BS. Porsche I have lost all trust in you…….. Fix up the crap and start telling your best customers the truth.

Porsche NA might well do things differently than Porsche GB.
You can have your money back on your 2014 car, but you risk not getting a 2015 allocation!

Looks great I bet even better in the flesh

With the greatest of respect to those that have gone for "safe" black silver or white I believe that a car like a gt3 should be a mad bright colour
My choice (if I could afford it) would be the bright blue one from earlier smile

Sort of on-topic question here: I've designed (and built) a garage specially for a 991GT3 - I'm an architect, not an owner. Anyway - the client has his GT3 in limbo like the rest of you but he has loan loan of a stock 991 - which is grounding at the front on some of the approaches to the garage. It has a sport design front apron. His GT3 has the lifting kit. Does anyone happen to know the approach angle for the 991GT3 when fully lifted?

Any comments on the lifting kit in use...I'm obviously reckoning some more hard landscaping is going to be a lot cheaper than replacing the chin! Just need to calculate how much as it's all pretty tight.

What would a "2015" have that a 2014 doesn't have (engine considerations aside)? I saw a few new extras like online services, painted bits outside and so on.. But nothing groundbreaking like a parking camera :-)

So I guess really not a massive difference no?

I think you find my sarcasm always follows a dish the Lamborghini comment.

Everyone seems to overlook I ordered a car in April 2013 and my beef is with Porsche not the car itself but if others bring it down to the level of my car ( that doesn't work ) is better than yours that does work I will respond in defence of what is an excellent piece of German engineering with Italian style and flair and for me the perfect supercar.
Obviously the posters who knock it have never driven one

But that's not what happened in your case is it? You were offered a January build and you knocked it back thus losing this or any build slot, you didn't have a chance of an RS, so you didn't demand your deposit back you got it back by default because you were never going to get a car?
What balls were required to make any decision? some have returned their car and got their money back, some (most) have opted to play it out and wait for their car, not because they don't have a choice.

Hope you have good professional indemnity cover......biggrin:

I think some people may know the height difference with lift activated but I think you will struggle determining the approach angle....confused

But if you look at 'supercarsofaustria' u tube clip (sorry no link), theres a white 991 GT3 being loaded onto a transporter and lift is activated which may be of use......thumbup

The standard approach angle is 5.8 degrees. I believe the extra height with front lift is 30mm, works out at 7.65 degrees.

BEAT THIS:
I sent a letter with my intention of returning the car for a full refund some time ago to Porsche Finance, PCGB Customer Services and my OPC. On Friday, finance called me to say they were looking into it and would be back in touch. Nothing from PCGB or OPC.
At 8am this morning I got a call from the RAC telling me they were 1hr away and were picking up my GT3 and loan car. Needless to say I politely told them to cancell.
It transpires that Customer Services had arranged this. Ive had no notification, no contact from finance, PCGB or my OPC. What about my deposit, payments Ive made, full refund, etc?
Customer services at its best if you ask me? As you can imagine Im spitting feathers?
Ive said it before: good luck guys.
I feel like cancelling my GT3RS order now?
