I hope some of these might be of interest.

Last week nine PH Porkers (and some random stuff) went for a bit of a drive round some rather empty Spanish and French roads.

'Twas lots of fun biggrin

Looks superb fellas.

What was the route? I'm thinking of doing a European jaunt this coming year (as I do every year to no avail......frown) - so a bit of inspiration doesn't go amiss!

Start in Bilbao (get the ferry, or drive), then Cantabrian mountains, Picos Europa, more Cantabrian to Rioja and over the Pyrenees to France. Then meander eastwards through the Pyrenees, up through the Massif Central and Auvergne to Loire Valley and return through Northern France. smile

Allow 10 days and plenty of petrol. biggrin

Very good route. thumbup

Did you go west of Santander towards Galicia? If not, you may wish to consider it next time. Beautiful. Fast, smooth lovely roads and great scenery.

Well done you lot! clap

That's a thread on it's own...

GT2.
Sent to RUF to make it faster.
..and put rear seats in (and the leather / SatNav / aircon)
..and change the rollcage for a removable one
..and something (the two lines above I think) that necessitated it having a Turbo body put on.

I was a little hoovered when he told me but I remembered the basics - GT2, with a Turbo body, and faster.

He's a PHer so no doubt will pop up to say 'Hi' and fill in the details smile

Not quite as far west as Galicia; we to Riano/Cremenes in Leon before heading back eastwards into the mountains. smile

Nor can we take credit for the excellent route, organisation and choice of hotels.

Sorry guys, Am I missing something here?

That's clearly a 997 Turbo with Aerokit, it even has the Turbo Wheels and Turbo Exhaust.

Just checked on CC-London - its a 997 Turbo, Did the owner tell you its a 'bespoke GT2?'

I know what it looks like - that's why I specifically had a chat about this very point. Ie. GT2s don't have a sunroof, rear seats, Turbo wheels and they have rollcages.. surely it's a Turbo with stickers.

The owner told me this lot (not hearsay), and I have no reason to suspect he might be fibbing.

As for the wheels he said he doesn't normally have those wheels on it, but they were more appropriate for the trip.

Sorry, don't know what CC-London is?
