Strongly disagree that the 550's interior is "as naff" as the 996TT, especially if the 550 is specced with Daytona seats.
The Daytonas are frankly superb - they look great and feel great. In combination with the metal-topped gear shift and drilled pedals, I don't think there's any comparison with the Porsche.

I've had both (well the Ferrari was a 575, but pretty much the same). I just didn't like it at all...felt too fragile and 'visible' to use every day, but not a car you want to take out for a good thrash either. Very fast, but in a 'so what' kind of way. Having said that, the same can be said of the Turbo! But it is far more useable, cheaper to run, and dare I say, practical. If you do get one though, you need a Tubi exhaust, otherwise it doesn't sound good...but neither does the Turbo.

I agree the interior on the 550 is very well laid out and everything is well to hand unlike the dated 911 interior, the 550 is more of a crusier than the turbo, the 911 is a great car all round, but they are every where, not so with the 550, also 550's have dropped to a level where i dont think they will drop much more, if you can aford to put the petrol in i would go 550...
